Where have the Black Express trucks gone

On Ram's website you can still build a Black Express truck, but there aren't any available anywhere?

Is this model being phased out? Dealer lots around ATL used to be rife with them, now there are none. Even if I extend my search to 500+ miles, I can't find any.

Good question. I also used to see many at dealerships and now only see a few 3/4 tons but not the half tons.

I know for sure you can go to euclid ohio and buy '12 with new zone 6" lift, 37x13.50x20 trail grapplers and 30k miles. I hand delivered it.

trying not to be a dink but maybe all black has finally played itself out. I did the all black to my 09 GT500 when new and like mentioned that all these years later it's over?????

I think I only ever seen 1 on a lot new around here. But there's probably 2-3 running around fairly local to me.

The "murdered out" look is cyclical it seems...to me all black everything looks good on certain things...right now I'd be ok with my Bright Silver if my bumpers and grill were body color and then I had the black express wheels. I'd take black over chrome any day of the week.

fair enough on the black but with two all black setups ie 2009 GT500 and a 2012 SRT8 Challenger I was ready for something different when it came to my truck (oh my 14 Sport rcsb 4x4 was 99% black) , I am soooooooo happy with the upgraded red paint on my new R/T I find I stare at the paint whenever I go out to the garage. If I had picked up a black R/T one of the dealers had in town I would have offed myself :favorites13:

There is a blackout express at the lot down the road from me where I got mine. Also saw a RCSB Black out Sport yesterday on a lot.

They also changed that setup...my 2014 Black Express has the projectors and LED tails, no badges.....

I have seen the new ones (2015) that has black RAM 1500 badging, and the quad lamps that are painted black, and no LED tails.

Don't see a lot of them in my parts.

Maybe it's the az heat? I like black cars/trucks but they just get dirty too fast.

That's the prestige of the black vehicle is how nice it looks....when it's clean!

I thought they were only a limited edition type of deal... like the Ignition Orange and the Ceramic Blue colors that were released. They were only going to release roughly 1,000 of them, or something like that, and then go on to something else.

With that being said, they were also supposed to release 1 or 2 more colors that were "special edition", and I never saw that.

Supposedly 1000 units each for Ceramic Blue, Ignition Orange, and the Black Sport. Not sure about the Black Express.

They were never a limited edition. It was just a package because for one they made them in 2013 and 2014 a lot and they still make them. But it seems they might be phasing them out.

and TRXHemi his right. Looks like they gone cheap on them. With no projectors or LED tails.

I do remember Jermery at Retroshop saying they might stop making/selling the projectors because he was trying to buy a bunch for his retro fits but they were hard to come by.

I noticed that too... kinda ruins it.... Glad I didn't get one though, there has to be at least 10 of them running around town

You and me both!! I like chrome on certain vehicles but not on my truck or on anything sporty.

There's a good bit of them still on the lots in Southwestern PA as well as Morgantown, WV area.
