That usually doesn't happen on a race track---not being judgemental, just say'n------

That's actually the first highway race I've ever done, the guy was being a **** and we both floored it. Still uncalled for brake checking me for no reason, let alone practically stopping in the middle of the highway

The 5.7 stops me at 106. kinda disappointing. It gets there fast though

I have the 3.6L and it gets up there...it's much faster in the cold though.

My 4.7 went to 110 and still had some pedal left to go. This was right after I bought it and didn't know about speed ratings on tires. Most it sees now is 80 when I'm in the hammer lane on the interstate.

I've hit 90 several times but not for very long, usually passing. I used to hit 120 on my snowmobile all the time but that was when I was 10 foot tall and bullet proof, confidence of youth I guess. Lol

As a side note... it seems on this forum and one other I am on guys are racing all the time. Just driving down the highway and the truck next to you calls you out or tries to show you up. In 18 years of driving this has never happened to me unless it was a buddy on a back road. Where are all these race trucks I read about?

Was driving to dinner on Friday in the Charger - when a Z06 came flying up next to me, revved his engine and starred me down (all at about 80mph) He took off a few seconds later when he realized I wasn't dumb enough to bite.

I can say in the 75mph speed limit areas, I set the cruise control at 80mph and it just cruises at like 1,700 rpm like nothing with the ECO light on.

I had a 2002 Camaro Z28; talk about a redneck rocket. Never got above 105 though. Undulating roads and deer can be deadly at 55, so I backed off quick. I got my 11 Hemi Outdoorsman bouncing off the governor at 106ish when I had that, but the new truck hasn't seen above 90. Haven't had the desire or roads comfortable/cop free enough to do that. These trucks are really stable at speed though.

*I was in Mexico a few times...

FWIW, the eco light is based throttle and RPMs. I think of it as every square is a rectangle but not every rectangle is a square; any time MDS kicks in the eco light will be on but the eco light doesn't guarantee MDS is running. I'm not saying yours won't be either, but unless I'm going downhill or have a serious tailwind I don't think my MDS will stay on at even 75. Gearing (3.92) or still breaking in (I'm under 5k miles, but it does seem to be loosening up), or maybe I'm always hitting a headwind...
