Coincidence. Nothing to do with your level.

Based on the fact it happened during / after ice storm I'd say the wiper arms got stripped. Never dealt with it on a RAM but have have it happen on GM vehicles.

I don't see how that can have anything to do with it.

Snippet from a site that sells wiper parts:
......then the Chrysler wiper arm becomes bent, it is often due to one of those incidents that you know in the back of your mind that you probably shouldn't do - like using the wipers to clear snow and ice from the windshield instead of standing outside, shivering in the bitter cold with the scraper - but, do anyway. Not only can using your Chrysler wiper arm as a snow and ice removal devise bend the arm itself, it can also strip the gear that transfers the power of the wiper motor to the arm and can even burn out that motor. It is not a good idea, but you probably knew that already.

I've had that happen on a couple of vehicles to. I know the last one they would sometimes work, sometimes not. They were jumpy too and would stop in weird spots.

Something could have broke also. Can you hear or feel the motor working? If not then it could be a bad motor, switch, or some other electrical thing. I doubt the system is as simple as a switch and relay.

I think the fact he altered the geometry of the vehicle caused his wiper motor to fail. when he lifted the front end, that altered the aero dynamics which caused wind to put stress on the wiper motors causing it to not work properly.

This is what i think my dealer would say if I took it in.

Check the linkage arms on the motor, make sure nothing is loose.

I would take the leveling kit off and raise it 6 inches.

I was talking about the leveling kit, not what you said. Lmao

sounds like you need a new wiper motor.

I don't think it had anything to do with altering ride angle and thought it was an odd coincidence.

I hate cleaning Ice so I had prepped and laid a tarp over windshield and laid wiper arms back down to hold it in place. So they weren't used to clean ice at all.

I guess I will be tracing an electrical issue. Never thought of it before now but since I bought the truck blades always seemed too slow even on high speed.

Hi RamXpress14,

What you're describing should not be related to the installation of your kit. If you'd like to visit your Ram dealership for diagnosis, I'd be happy to follow up.
