Has anyone ever done a 1/3 drop? I wanna go a little lower since right now I just got a 2 inch rear drop. I think the 2/4 drop would be a little to much since I drive in pretty bad roads. Pics would be helpfull

The lowering kit closest to that would be the 2/3 made by ground force. you might want to check their site to see if they have if for your truck.

When I cut my 1st rear springs too much I ended up with a 1/3 and it was nearly level. I hated it, and got it back up 1"

Sorry for the wait bud. This was exactly a 1/3 but we ended up riding the bumpstops the whole time while towing (even with airbags) so I had to raise it an inch in the rear. I think it's the bulging hood that makes the front look so high, and why I like an inch of rake.

None up front; taking 3" out of the rear changed the front geometry enough to take a whole inch out!
I beleive the rear was 1/2 a coil plus 2"?? It's SO stupidly easy to take the coils out, cut a little, lower it and see. If not low enough, repeat.

I was browsing eBay and came across a company called Crown Suspension out of California that manufactures a 1" drop front coil spring and a 3" rear spring as well. I researched and found they have a website and Facebook page but do not update often. Has anyone had experience or know someone who has purchased any products from this outfit? I too am looking for a very mild drop for my new R/T regular cab. Not really interested in slamming my new truck, at least not yet, lol. My wish kit is a 1.5" drop spindle and a 3" rear coil with shocks.

Chorizo, your in the same boat as I am. Crown used to list the 1" drop coils for the front separately. I will probably stay away from them as their mailbox is full and has been that way for quite a while. Seems a little iffy to me.

I want to do a 1/2" drop on my R/T. Might be hard to notice but for me that would be enough. My concern is more with other issues. I doubt i'll see them but if I do then I will be looking at and adjustable bar (more cost).

If I could find someone selling their stock coils from a reg cab then I would just cut them and see how it goes.

If you only want a 1" drop up front then you can use stock '02-'05 front springs or you could cut a half coil off the bottom of the spring.

Here's someone selling just front springs from a 4th reg. cab.http://www.ramforum.com/showthread.php?p=741179

Ill be the guinea pig for you guys...

Just got my ram 2 weeks ago and I actually came across this thread. I bought it with a 2" or 3" (im not too sure) rear drop and although the fenders measure exact same height front and back, the stance just isnt cutting it for me.

I ordered these..

Crown Suspension 09 14 Dodge RAM 1500 V8 1" Lower Drop Front Coils Spring Kit | eBay

I should have them installed by the end of this week and I will make a new thread.

1/3 drop

I just did a rear 2" drop on my 2017 ram and I am going to be doing the front 1" . I am buying the 2" belltech drop springs and the adjustable Bilstein Struts 0-2" so i will set the struts an inch up and with the 2" coils should allow me to sit down an inch and if i want to go another inch in back i can either cut the isolator in half or cut a coil to gain another inch

I had the ground force kit before the belltech and it was more like a 1.5" front drop. And the rear is like 2.5". Even after it settled. It rode really good though. You can always buy the belltech spring kit and add lift spacers.?

Lower with coil springs

1" front 2" rear lowering coils on a 2017 regular cab 5.7 hemi blackout. Will any other parts need to be changed or can you run stock shocks.

Crown Suspension 1•2 drop. I added Ground Force rear lowering shocks, and an OEM swaybar, but it's not necessary.

That really looks good! How is the ride, and do you have any vibration probems, or any other issues?
