So I desperately want my 17 lower. It seems like almost every 2/4 kit has issues. I'm not really interested in a 4/6 drop.

So if I were to use McGaughy 2/4 spring kit with the illicit no cut brackets in the rear would I avoid all of the driveshaft / pinion angle problems? Also I'd want bilsteins shocks, maybe qa1s. My truck didn't come with a rear seat bar so I will be adding the hellwig rear bar. Also I will be doing shorter bar end links up front.

Will this set up align okay in the front? Will it avoid the busted driveshaft and rear seat wobble problems too?

Is the 1/2 really the only relatively reliable drop?

I know I'm talking expensive with the 2/4 springs, illicit brackets, rear sway bar and new shocks but I only want to do this once. Timeframe is August 15 to Christmas so I have time to research more and think it over. I also need to budget for a tonneau and infotainment system install.

That is a solid setup. Front end should align just fine.

Illicit brackets fixed all my issues..recentered the wheels..corrected driveshaft angle. started with a belltech 2/4..cut coil in rear, removed bump stop cup, helper bags, hellwig sway..adjustable pan...f 150 end links up front..305/40/22 aligned just fine for me.7ceaf56c9c4e2d23c96e60371d21450f.jpgc47091e2dffe1b0a8295a351537aa81d.jpg

Nice drop.

You think you can post a pic of the rear wheel centered in the wheel well?

That looks pretty centered to me..

Did the Brackets leave your pinion angle back at 0 degrees?
So since you cut the rear coils, you got a 2/5 drop on the truck?

Yessir about 5..basically that one coil got rid of the rake so sits level, and not sure if it's exactly 0 but it's gotta be pretty close..truck rides night and day differnce..no more wheel hop when burning out. Also launches better/ hooks better from a dig. I did the no cut kit b.c I won't go much lower, but the weld kit guys are running up to 8 inch drop in the rear.

I had the McGaughy 2/4 drop on my 2013 model. On my 2015 I went with the Inez Hotrods kit. Got to say my 2015 rides a whole lot smoother than with my 2013 did and I went lower on my 2015.

This is my 2013 with the McGaughy 2/4 deluxe kit modified to a 3/5. Was also running the spohn bars to recenter everything. Sitting on aftermarket rims and stock tires.

This is my 2015 Ram with the Inez Hotrod drop modded to a 4/5 drop sitting on smaller tires. Rides much smoother and I'm going to eventually go down in the rear a little bit more.

Oh man I like the 2015.
I only lowered my 2015 2 inch in the rear to level it out plus I added bags and Rancho shocks and a sway bar to stiffen it. I'm still using mine as a truck. I recommend you get hellwig sway bars front and rear. That thing would handle awesome. I would like to drop my truck that much but do it tow? I want to be able to tow close to the max with is 10100 lbs on my exact truck

I am jealous of all your trucks. I am going to level mine out but I secretly I want to lower it. Time to get rid of my daily Mazda 3 and find regular cab ram and drop it. :favorites13:

Couple of my buddies told me they felt no differnce when swirching the front sway bar to hellwig, reccomended doibg the rear. And just swapping the front sway bar end links to the f 150 ones. I believe there is a post with part numbers on here somewhere

Hardly noticed the truck past that beautiful yard! My wife would kill me if I parked on my grass haha

In all seriousness... super nice truck man!

I was wondering if your rims are OEM R/T 9" wide or Replica 10"? When you fully turn your steering wheel do the tires run at all?
