FWIW I did 2" rear drop with airlift 1000 bags and I can still tow my 26 foot aerolite. hitch weight is about 650 I think and it sits okay. with stiffer shocks or an airlift 5000 I'd be perfect but the WD and 1000 kit makes it ride pretty well.

I'm also -2" in the rear, and with the Airlift 1000's, tow our 32' Passport trailer (700lbs tongue) with no problems. Not much suspension travel left, but it's almost as comfortable as stock.
-2" in the rear is just enough to get rid of that "ass in the air/cat in heat" look while keeping a touch of front rake. I had done -3" before which levelled it, and I hated that. It also towed on the bumpstops which SUCKED.

I would like to do a 2/4 drop but as my daily driver in new england I decided against it. The roads suck and we can potentially have serious snow on the ground. With that said, I wound up cutting the stock rear springs to get rid of most of the grandpa rake it had. It still has a slight rake but it looks so much better. I did pick up an airlift 1000 kit but I haven't installed it yet because I don't tow that often. It also rides the same as stock with the cut springs too

FYI.. the airlift 1000 are just bladders that you insert into the center of the spring that have an air line that you manually fill with air. It stiffens up the spring when towing so it help prevent bottoming out. I found a new un-used kit on ebay for $60 shipped but I believe they are approx $80 to $100 if you order them online.

That's not bad at all I used to have helper bags on my company truck it was a 2014 f250 4x4 they put 3 inch spacer up front 4 inch block two helper Springs on each side and still had to put bags lol I had alot of tools on that truck...I'm prolly just gonna go with the rear drop they look better on these 4drs verses a rear drop on a regular cab in my opinion

Do You think that the Air Lift 1000's made the ride smoother without towing or hauling. Like just in general?

I dropped my truck 2" on the rear and i was thinking about adding the bags.
What do you think about adding them just to add 5-7 psi to smooth out the ride?

eh. cutting coils will change the spring rate of the coil so it will feel a little bouncier. I run 8 pounds usually with no weight and it's enough to get it a little stiff so doesn't have that lowrider bounce. they're definitely an improvement towing, and I'd say they make a slight to noticeable difference unloaded
