I agree. The larger tires look great.

Are those wheels R/T replicas in a 20"?

Those are the Sport model wheels. They are somewhat similar to the R/T wheels though.

Here they are up close.

where exactly are you rubbing on the fender liner? I'm wondering if it's because of the 305. I know there a ton of guys running much more drop that don't seem to be having the problem, but they all run 22s and narrow rubber band tires. If you follow "ram_trucking" or "ramloyalty" on IG you will see a ton of guys with slammed static drops.

Could you mod the liner at all? When I had my 2010 F150 I had 4.5/6.5 drop with 305/40r22 and I had to heat up the liner with a heat gun, push it back with the head of a big dead blow hammer, and hold it there until it cooled down. I basically just remolded that spot of the liner where I was rubbing so it would clear and I never had any more problems. Just a thought.

Well for starters my current tires are smaller in diameter than the stock 22" wheels and tires the R/T comes with, and those are smaller than the stock 20" wheels and tires on these trucks. I should have MORE fender gap than a stock R/T or Sport.

I actually rubbed my liners today on the drivers side. It was a big dip at the end of an overpass though. Thats the only time I've heard it rub.

So I've already decided that my 2/4 drop is a little much up front, so I'm going to be lifting it back up slightly.

Eventually I wan't to switch from the 305/40R22s that I have now so something with a smaller wheel and a larger overall diameter. Honestly I'm not a big fan of the 22" wheel look and it's a lot of extra weight for no reason. I'm favoring some 20" wheels a little more for my purposes.

Problem is, finding a 20" tire that's at least as big in diameter as what I have now is a bit problematic. I'd like to have at least a 285 width, but bigger is perfectly fine. I also don't want an offroad tire or something that's going to cost an arm and a leg.

Any experience with this?

I'm just now seeing this and once I get back to work I'll post up some tires I found while researching this change to 20's but keeping the overall diameter of the combo in a 285 or 305. There are a few out there made by the more know tire brands. All my notes I wrote down are at work.

I rub like crazy too, the tire actually makes contact where the air box bracket attaches to the inner fender. I'll post pics in the morn. I'm on stock wheels and tires too. But I think I have a modified 2/4 belltech kit.
