Curious if anyone has pulled this off and achieved about a 1" drop? Installed factory 2wd spindles on a 4wd.

Lighter coloured spindle is a stock 4x4 spindle, dark is 2wd. Looks like the tie rod end is lower on the 2wd and the ball joint (upper) is slightly different.

I'm looking to add about 3/4 - 1" to balance out my truck without breaking the bank.

This mod has been in the back of my mind for years.
I've heard the 2wd spindles should work on a 4wd to lower the front as you've said.

Haven't done it myself but would be interested to get others feedback that have.

The 2wd spindle works just fine on the 4wd and gives you ~1" drop over the 4wd spindle. We use them with the GF drop springs to get a 3" drop and not have issues with the inner CV joints.

Hello there sir, this is a long shot since it's been over 5 years but, Could the same be said backwards? 4wd spindles on 2wd for ~1" lift?
