McGauhys makes a 2" drop spring for the rear. It runs around $200 depending on where you can find them at

A good friend of mine locally here had the McG deluxe kit w/shocks. I went through a set of cut stock springs before I was happy, and his ride was harsh. He ended up with my old cut springs, and is MUCH happier with the ride now.
Food for thought.

I just remove my McGaughy's 2" lowering springs part #44055 They were only on the truck for 3000 miles before I decided to go lower with the Belltech kit. Let me know if you are interested. I was going to list them for sale for $150 shipped. These are the ones I have

For +/- 450$ buy the belltech 964sp. Most of the people that buy the level end up wanting to buy the full lowering kit after. Just my opinion.

I'm going to do the 2" rear drop. With the McGaughy's, all you need is basic hand tools, floor jack and axle stands. For the Ground Force, you will also need a 13/16" stubby wrench, or a crow's foot to remove and replace the factory shocks with the GF ones.

From all I've read, it takes about 1/2 to 3/4 of hour to do the job.

Thinking about leveling out my Hemi?

What will I need? How much usually for install? Will it makes the ride worst? I have a 12' Ram Crew cab 2wd, attached photos would be nice also

You will need to center the rear axle after you drop it. 2" drop equal about 3/8" off center rear axle.

Probably a noob question, but why does the axle shift off center by dropping equal amount on both sides of the rear?

Because it has a panhard bar to locate the rear axle. As the bar goes up and down the axle shifts from side to side. If you lower the back you will need an adjustable panhard bar to adjust it back. When you adjust it you will need to check the alignment of the rear axle (thrust angle) as the rear axle moves up and down the panhard bar along with the trailing arms turn the axle left and right. If you watch Nascar and hear them talk about raising the trackbar to change the handling that is what they are doing (changing the angle of the panhard bar) As the bar goes up and down it rotates the angle of the rear axle, so it you just lower the back of your truck and don't adjust the panhard bar it will rotate the axle or thrust angle from straight to one side or the other and you will get a wobble in the rear of the truck.

Bell tech 2/4 drop effected my drivability of my truck, cause tail gag at speeds from 35-100+. With the adjustable pan hard it did remove some of the "tail wag". At higher speeds it's still there.
My truck is a 2012 R/T. As soon as it through enough money at it and get the problem fixed I will post what combination of part fix the problem.

I think most of the problem is the angle of the panhard bar. The bar has to be level with the axle or slightly higher on the side that connects to the frame. I drilled a hole as high as I could on the frame bracket and that along with the adjustment took all the wobble away.

But just for a 2" drop in the rear, do you really need an adjustable panhard?
