Does anyone actually ahve experience with a CC Hemi lowered on RC springs? They say the RC springs drop it lower(which i want) but im looking for opinions from someone who actually has experience of this.

Would be using the 964sp(not the 963sp CC kit)

thanks guys!

The spring rate should be different as the CC weighs more than the RC so if you use the bed for anything you might notice more sagging

I have rc springs on my qc. It gave me about a 1/2" more drop over the correct bt springs that were in it. I assume it will be a little lower on a cc though.

Do you have any pics of it?

Do you think the RC springs are a stiffer- more compressed, with the added weight of your QC?

My other springs were cut. The rc springs gave me a hair more drop without cutting. The ride is a lil better but i also put bt sport shocks back on.

I have cut RC springs in the rear of our CC for the last 3 years. We use the truck primarily for towing. No issues.
I can't say if the ride height was lower as we cut them immediately to get the stance I wanted.

It was lower for a few weeks, and we even towed 7hrs through the Rockies that way; fully on the bumpstops. (I cut the CC springs too much) :Stupid Me:
THAT is why I now have RC springs, cut less to achieve a 2" drop.(and thanks to Wild One for the springs!)

I have cut RC springs and airlift short bags and I tow a 24bhhs aerolite. did you put different shocks out back? I was considering it because the spring rate on cut rc seems to be stiffer. I towed the camper before I cut the bumpstops on the cut coils and it was probably 1/4 inch from the strike plate. now that they are cut I have more room to play, but I'm still curious as to how it could improve. I'm considering going to CC springs in the rear and 4 inch lift spindles in the front and abandoning the low level look

I'm still riding on the original OE shocks.
The only springs I would change to are uprated Tuftruck units- cut down to maintain a desireable height, of course :naughty:
