I ordered a MCG deluxe spindle 2/4 drop kit 44050 from 3rdstrike and installed it on black friday. The only issue I had was on the driver side lower balljoint nut had so much locktite on it the nut faught me the entire way off, pass side nut came right off...go figure. Overall the kit was easy to install, just remove/replace parts.

Front requires no special tools, 13/16 for brake caliper bolts, 22mm/10mm for upper balljoint nut and TRE, 24mm/12mm for lower balljoint nut, 18mm for the three hub bolts and hammer to knock the balljoint free. It does require the brake dust shield to be trimmed but that was easy.

Rear is pretty straightforward and we have alot of pics on here of coil replacement so I wont get into that. The kit says to remove the rear bumstop cups but all my sawzall blades were dull so I will take care of that another time...if necessary.

I took a few pics, but not many as I was focused on finishing since today its suppose to rain.

stock before any work done

Quick question why did you go that route and not just get the kit with new springs and shocks same 2/4 drop

spindles allow full suspension travel in the front since the spring and shock are not changed. so even though its the same 2/4 drop as just springs/shocks, the ride is supposedly better using spindles.

and the best reason for buying the spindles..... 3rd strike had this kit for the same price as the spring kit *(usually about $150 more).

i know because i bought the same kit.:naughty:

Thanks guys, I really like the way it looks and rides now. I want 22's but they are further down the list than a few other things :naughty:

I know some people have complained the mcg trac bar relocation bracket didnt fit, but I had no trouble at all, maybe they fixed any issues...I dunno

Is it wrong that I want to go with a drop kit, and then some beefy knobby tires?

Looks great, where did you get this kit? So ride is as good as stock? No rub on stock tires?
