Hi,
First post to ask this question which I know is not common as google could find no answers. Also, I don't know Jack about suspensions and originally planned to run unmodified if not for this height problem.

I really DON'T want to lower my (haven't bought one yet) 1500 4x4 but as the title states, it won't fit into my underground garage unless I go lower. I Don't want want to give up off road performance either though. Maybe will to lose a little bit of off road ability but would prefer not.

I tried the Limited 4x4 with Air Suspension. Being able to lower the ride by 2" using this setup got me pretty close to being able to get in. I'd need to lower it at least 2" more though.

Is the Air Suspension the possible solution here? Can I lower the Entry/Load mode and or the overall ride height but then still get back the ride height I need in Off Road mode?

Or is there a better solution that bypasses the Air Suspension? This would save me a lot of money potentially on having to by a Limited or Laramie to get that option. I'm OK either way if that is the best solution.

I hope you can help. I MUST have a 1500 3.0 and I need to complete the sale by 12/31. Thanks!!!

Sounds like a truck is not your best option. If the air suspension wouldn't work then I don't see how you can get everything you want out of it without some custom work. The truck only has so much range of motion. I think entry/exit mode is already as low as it should go with factory suspension.

At this point I AM willing to modify the Suspension to get lower if it will do the trick but NOT destroy the off road ability.

I would have preferred not to have to mod anything but I agree, you can't seem to get any lower than entry/load mode in stock configuration.

Would going from 20's to 18's help? I don't know much but it seems like you maybe don't need 20's for off road.

The air suspension is new and there's little to no support for it. Going from 20s to 18s won't help. Only a smaller tire would which would have negative effects off road. How small is this parking garage? I don't see how a ram in entry mode wouldn't fit. Mine fit in every garage I have tried with a 3" lift and 35s

The clearance is 78-79". The truck would fit normally but there is a serious downward incline on the approach to the entrance to the structure. This makes it harder to clear that height. I've driven right up to in a few different 1500's but it is just too low. The Air Suspension made it pretty close though.

sounds to me you're attached to an object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis.or you're parking on the street.:)

Why does it have to go in the garage?

The garage is included in my rent. Street parking costs money in my area and it's all wireless. If you miss the meter by 5 minutes...$45. And it's protected by the weather of course. If I have to I will the though.

Maybe you can rent out your parking space to another tenant in your building to relieve some of the cost of parking in the road.
