I installed QA1 over the x-mas weekend and as i am driving this afternoon I can help but to hear a rattle coming from the front end of my truck, I inspect and find the following see picture below. Unfortunately I don't have access to a garage, the stock shocks, or my tools until this Friday so i am unable to inspect further. Can the shock be repaired, can anyone tell what exactly failed?

Damn! Unless its something else, it looks like the support for the top of the shock broke off? You need to put a new shock on there stat. I would do the other side too. Contact who you ordered them from or QA1 directly and get a new shock. Where are you located? I have 2 stock shocks you could have.

It looks like the bottom plate that holds the bushing failed seems like a simple fix. I appreciate the offer I still have my stock shocks the only thing is that I won't have access to them until Thursday when I drive to my dad's house where ally tools are at the moment as well.

I actually bought these used from dubstep in the for sale section I doubt any warranty carries over. I will contact Qa1 in the morning and inquire about replacement parts.

Looks like the wrong shock to me they only fail like that when they bottom out. Maybe you were given the wrong part# if you put the stock shock on for a temp fix it will do the same

Just curious if Qa1 helped you out or if you figured out why the shock failed
