Hey guys,

I want to do QA1 for the rear shocks on my belltech lowered 2014 Ram R/T 2WD. Do I need the:

TS905
or
TS801?

I've seen conflicting info on this and want to pull the trigger....thanks! :happy107:

Thank you QuickSilver!! :favorites13:

the TS901 has:
Compressed Height - 14.88"
Extended Height - 23.63"

Which is within 1" and without the t-bar. You have to remove the T-bar to put this shock on, correct? lol

Guys, give QA1 a call for this info... Last I heard they are making them install ready for the Rams, so you don't have to do the modifications that me and a few others have done.

IIRC, someone posted the info in this thread: http://www.ramforum.com/f39/qa1_sho...4g_ram_-_parts_needed_install_tips_etc-54845/

Thanks for the reply Dave!

Man, I'm not sure I want to go through all of that BS just for rear shocks; can anyone verify the TS901 are more of a direct fit? I know they don't have the T-bar...

Sure thing. And that's what I was trying to say, I believe QA1 makes a direct fit now... They didn't at the time I pieced mine together. Give em a call.

This is what one member posted in my thread: http://www.ramforum.com/1100049-post131.html

The shocks are definitely worth it, imho.

Spoke with Bill at QA1. They do not make specific shocks for our trucks. He only recommends measuring the shocks and calling back.

I didn't see that in your thread but thanks!

Also, I know BlkRamRt said in a different thread that he had uses the TS905s as well...

I did check QA1's website and they don't technically list a shock for our trucks but I'll give them a call and let everyone know what they say about it!

Ok, that is weird, but I think it might depend on who you talk to... Maybe they don't have them on a shelf, but they are willing to put the right bushings and sleeves on them??

This "looks" like the right shock... make sure and verify first and ask what ID is on the sleeves and compare that to your stock bolts...

OK - as per Tim at QA1, he stated he could get us the correct shock for this application is someone is willing to get:

Shock length at ride height and the diameter of the shocks mounts

Anyone lowered trucks care to do some legwork for the team? lol

SIDE NOTE - I contact Belltech to see what their shock length for their 4" lowering kit (pn# 2212FF) is and they said :

Compressed Height - 14.00"
Extended Height - 22.50"

Can anyone verify the Mount diameters? A DavidRams they they sound like they are 1.2" but I'm not sure if that was both top and bottom?

This is everything they would need to know. The lengths of the shocks below are right for your purpose. This is exactly the parts the went on my truck:

Summit
(2) - QA1 TS507 Front shocks
(2) - QA1 TS801 Rear shocks
(2) - QA1 9032-102 Bushings (for the rear shocks)
http://www.summitracing.com/

WFO Concepts
(4) - 4261 Metal sleeves, OD of 3/4", ID to fit 9/16" bolt (you must request they be cut to 1.25" if you are going to use spacers/washers like I did)
4x4 Custom Truck Parts | Off Road Truck Parts | California Custom Trucks

Amazon (or local hardware store)
(8) - Spacers for 9/16" Bolt Size, 19/32" ID x 1-3/16" OD, 3/16" Thick (I used 16 heavy duty galvanized washers)
Morton TW-5SS Stainless Steel 300 Heavy Duty Washer, 9/16" Bolt Size, 19/32" ID x 1-3/16" OD, 3/16" Thick (Pack of 10): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

If you want to get new shock nuts and bolts:
AllMoparParts
(4) - BOLT-HEX FLANGE HEAD, Part#: 6502818 $3.47ea
(4) - NUT-HEX FLANGE LOCK, Part#: 6502698 $2.86ea
These are available to order here using the part number search:

Thanks agian Dave!!

OK, QA1 is kinda of being a PITA about this - I have them the extended and collapsed length and they are ADAMANT they need the length of the shock at ride height... :banghead: :wtf2:

Can anyone with a lowered truck go out and measure the eye to eye length on their shock we we can have a definitive answer from QA1 themselves so there is no debate on what shock is needed?

Now that I think about it... if your feeling generous, you can do the front too then we can have the answers we need on both ends...

Looks like my Rear Belltech Shock from top to bottom is: 20.125 inches, give or take a hair. It's **** pouring rain here, and dont want to back it out to get to the front.
