So while I was at the dealer getting some parts I looking into the differences in springs as I have heard the R/T springs differ from other models.
Turns out there are 8 different pairs of springs for a 2011 Ram 1500. THe dealer guy can compare the part type to figure out the difference if I had both Vins.
Is anyone with a regular cab that's not a R/T willing to give me their vin for comparison.. I understand if not. just curious and trying to get a definitive answer on springs from the dealer.

Didn't think of that, When I get a chance friday I'll go talk with the Parts guy again and see if I can figure out if they are different and progressive rate springs on the R/T vs stnd.

Yeah that's why I got you a v6 and v8 model. This should be good info to have. So now we can have a comparison from a v6 model a v8 express and an R/T.

I would think the V8 would definitely have stiffer springs (at least in the front) right?

Interested to see what you find out!

I sure hope so. It would suck that a R/T truck has the same springs at a v6..lol But accounting for the extra weight they will most likely be different.

Yeah I'm curious, and will find out Friday what different part number are for specific models and see if I can pinpoint the spring rate differences if any...
From what I read the R/T has a progressive rate spring while others are not. Not sure if I can get all that info but going to try.

and if they are I'm going to look into getting a set and how to modify them to the drop I have without destroying the rate progression on them
