I've done a 2/4 with mine using the GF front coils and Belltech rears.. But I found once I put the airlift's in that only with 4-5psi in the bags it doesn't lift the truck enough to notice but it definitely cushions the blow on rough roads. I live in the country so I needed a 4x4 truck and wanted it lowered. It bottoms out on a few key area's enroute to my house, so I needed the airlifts. I've also towed 8k with it and had 800lbs in the box... They work as they should. I've considered the illicit no cut brackets, or the entire Inez 4-6 drop because I find I want more lowered!! However the 2019's are also in my wheelhouse... So I have to decide which way to go..

With a 4" rear drop get airlift 1000 kit..

With a 4" rear coil drop are you guys hitting the bump stops on rough roads/bumps? Did everyone cut them down or do you guys not hit them?

Nice looking truck. I too want more low. Thought about the BT 4" coils too.
What airlift kit do you run? Durrango or Ram 1500?

Any side shots of the truck? Curious on rear wheel gap?

AirLift "Durango" Bags

Not the cleanest pics. I first installed the AirLift bags that were made for the Ram but they were too tall and bunched up. I used them that way for a road trip from NorCal to Death Valley thinking that the bags might tear/rip but they held. I ended up switching to the Durango bags afterwards. They fit perfect circumference wise but I would guesstimate they are about 1/2" too short for maximum benefit. I've towed my trackbike with a moto hitch carrier and had no issues with 'em.

@DwnDak 1st off your truck looks amazing!! I have an 18 QC Sport and that is the exact stance that I want to achieve with my truck. I have a couple quick questions, What was your reasoning behind using GF coils up front but Belltech coils in the rear? Are you still using the factory struts and shocks? Did you purchase your GF coils directly from GF, I cant seem to find anyone selling just the fronts. Lastly did you use the standard AirLift 1000 kit or the HD version?

Anyone on here use the Bilstein fronts at their lowest setting along with a partially cut stock rear coil? I'm thinking of getting a spare set of springs locally really cheap and just cutting a coil off and setting the bilsteins to their lowest setting. I've always loved the look of a slightly lowered truck. I'm not planning on slamming it down. I will be towing a 27' travel trailer eventually and I have airlift bags in my rear springs now. I figured with a cut stock spring, the bags would still work and I could air them up a little to compensate for any slack gained by cutting the coil.

2012 1500 Crew Cab 4x4... here is how she looks right now. Bils at the 1.8 setting and bags just barely inflated, no weight in bed.

Is the lowest setting on the bils stock height?

My 18 is stock in front and a cut rear spring. I now have bags in the rear for heavy loads. No issues at all.

Yeah, bils at lowest is stock height. How much did you take off the rear coils?

1 coil. I might cut a little more when I put the hellcats back on. The bags will take care of any sag with weight.

It doesn’t look like much of a rake being the longer bed, a short bed may look a little higher in the back IMO.

So with the new kit for 4wd drives are they made to work with stock spindles? Or not?

The belltech website does not specify. But looking at the kit the front drop is achieved via the springs so I would assume adding 2WD spindles would just give you another 1" like you have gotten with the GF kit.

Thanks! I'm happy with it until the 19'***** 0% then I'll probably sell it, but it rides well. The reason I went with GF/Belltech combo was the simple fact that the GF doesn't offer a 4" rear drop. I know a lot of people just cut a ring or two off their GF coils to achieve this, but I prefer buying what I need when possible rather than modifying. Belltech offers the 4" rear spring so I bought it, and contacted GF directly to order the front springs only. For some reason GF won't separate the 2/4 kits so I got the part number online somewhere, and called them to say my truck had been in an accident and I needed 1 spring, but would order the pair to keep them together. They shipped them out and in 2 days I had them.

I'm just running stock struts/shocks for now and the standard AL1000 bags but because they are so stuffed into the coil, one rubbed through. I am going to either leave them for when I trade in the spring, or order HD ones if I keep this truck beyond April/May.
