Dude, drop that thing! Looks sooo good! I wouldn't recommend cuttin the springs though. Cutting the spring will actually increase its stiffness. The spring is rated as a whole, measured by the diameter and each coil. Also, if the spring heats up while being cut, the spring rate will go to crap. So cutting part of the coil will definately tweak the way it rides. I guess you'd be ok with helper bags though. If you do end up cutting them, make sure you go about 1/2 a coil at a time!!! Whatever you decide, you'll love the lower side of life! = P

And... NICE TRUCK MAN!


Edit: I also heard about spring clamps. But never seen them in action, and I'm not sure how safe they are.

1) Drop it.
2) Looks much better without the bug shield...because of the color matched grill trim.
3) That Avalanche is way too big to be mistaken for an Aveo.

Spring clamps are about as safe as the twist-in coil spacers. Yeah, it's cheaper, but is it really worth half-assing something on a bad ass truck?
