Hello, new member joining in.
Recently purchased a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Express, Preferred package 25C, ST popular Equipment group, 32 gallon fuel tank, class IV receiver hitch, 3.55 diff, sirusxm-bluetooth-uconnect basic radio, 20" sliver painted wheels, ARE cap, and procomp spray on bedliner, 11,000 miles. Paid $25,500.

Added: Daystar KCO9113BK 2.5" (actual 2") leveling kit - $132
Rims: Fuel Maverick D538 20"x10", -12mm offset, - $1071
Tires: Toyo Open country ATII, LT305/55R20 - $1292
Lug nuts: Gorilla splined, 14mmx1.5, - $64
Nerf bars: forgot make and model - $165.
Sold: OEM 20" wheels with TPMS (included) for $1000 - oops forgot to get new ones.

First timer with a truck. Mainly purchased because one day I hope to get a boat and will be doing some offroading soon. Road noise on these wheels sucks ass after 60 MPH. But I'm getting used to it with loud music on lol.

Tires stick out roughly 1.75" in case any one is wondering.

Steering wheel feels like plasticky crap and too thick. Hoping to add a leather wrapped steering wheel some day along with and EVIC instrument cluster and maybe leather seats.

Uconnect doesn't work with Android 4.4.2 (on my Samsung Galaxy S4).

The wife was ******** at me for getting this truck (bought it w/o telling her) and got into some heated arguments (there was lots of yelling). She was shocked to see this "big ass macho monster truck" in the driveway when she came home that first night.
But, after the first ride she's very happy with it and is now the go to vehicle when heading out on weekend trips (other choices are her Toyota Camry or my E39 M5). My son also loves this truck (what 6 year old kid wouldn't ?).
Women - can't live with 'em, can't live w/o 'em.

I too love driving the truck. It's a different kind of fun being up top and getting good views when commuting around town and not always being in race-mode as in the M5. But, I think you have to enjoy driving (any or most vehicles) to really like it. I love being able to just throw everything in the back when going on quick weekend trips.

I've added maybe 2000 miles now and have been averaging 12.5 - 13.9 MPG mostly city driving. Haven't had a chance to do a long highway MPG test. Range is roughly 320-350 miles taking 27 gallons to fill up after it indicates empty.

Looking forward to doing more mods to this basic express and learning from the wealth of knowledge in this forum.

regards

Congrats!! Great to hear your loving it, very nice truck too! Nice to hear the wife came around as well. How do you like the tires? I see you have mudflaps, but how bad is the dirt up the sides of the truck?? Not bad?

Nice truck! Love the wheels and tires and the offset is just right! Man a 4-6 inch lift and that thing would be insane looking!

Thanks, tires have only seen asphalt. Mupflaps came with the truck and left them there. Others tell me I will need fender flares eventually but we'll see.

Uconnect works just fine with my galaxy S5. Try disconnecting it and then sync it again. Sometimes that needs to be done after a software update.
