After having nothing but GM products for all of my previous trucks I decided to take a walk on the dark side and give the new Rams a chance. They seem to have come a long way these last few years so what the hell. I purchased a new 2013 2500 Tradesman crew cab 4x4 with the 5.7l Hemi in it. It's the deep cherry red color and has the chrome appearance group, snow plow prep group, popular equipment group (xm radio, carpet, keyless entry, etc), anti-spin diff, on/off road tires, and the factory bedliner. So far I'm pretty happy with it except for the gas milage which I was expecting a little better than the 12.4 or so I'm getting (I got between 12.5 and 13 with my 07' lifted extended cab chevy 2500hd with the 6 liter and 35 inch tires). I've added some chrome bars to it so far and should be receiving the new Fuel Hostage 20x9 wheels with Nitto Trail grapplers in size 295/65R20 as well as the 3 inch Carli coils, adjustable track bar, Bilstein 5100 shocks, Extreme Overkill endlinks, and Thuren rear shackles... which I'll post pictures of after it's all installed on the 26th. It goes in tomorrow to have the trailer brake control installed. Hopefully I don't regret my decision!

Welcome to the forum!! Congrats on the new rig!

The MPG on my 2500 Cummins is up 2 mpg since i first got it a month ago. Hopefully your HEMI will do the same.

Welcome to RF! Sounds very similar to my truck, and it sounds like you're doing a lot of the modifications I would like to.

I am having similar dismal mileage with mine. 13.4 on the first tank (almost entirely highway) and 12.7 (almost all around town).

I had a bit of regret trading in my 1500 which I was averaging 18 with.
