Hey guys/gals my name is Steve and am new here to this forum. I just recently traded my 02 ram sport 5.9l in for a 2011 ram sport 5.7l. Loved my 02 but it was getting up there in miles 150057 and needed a few things done.

I just got a 2011 ram sport and love it!! Such a nice truck. Great color and now I have 4x4. It is fully loaded and plan in having it for another 15 years. First thing I'm looking into doing is hids in head lights and fog lights. Attached pics of new and old trucks.

Have another thread started on a couple questions about hids for my new truck. I'm pretty sure h11 bulbs go in for my low beams but am not sure on the fog lights, and is there anything special for the installation so I don't get a light out code or flickering? My 02 I got the 55 watt bi kit and had no issues. But did with the 34 watt. Would this be the same deal, just get the 55 watt kit?

Welcome!
H11s are the stock low beam bulbs, but H9s fit, and are noticeably brighter while not melting the harness wiring.
The stock high beam 9005s doe a fine job for what they are.
The fogs use H10 bulbs but will accommodate a 9005 which is SIGNIFICANTLY brighter, and will not draw enough current to damage wires, not melt the housing; I wouldn't have changed any of these nor recommended them if they had.

Please, for the love of all things holy, go to a projector setup if you use HIDs. Don't be "that guy" in your neighborhood who blinds everyone by installing HIDs into his stock, reflector-based housings.
HIDs and reflectors go together like Hondas and Hemis.

Thanks for all the great info! Ya I will get projectors for sure. Am I able to get a 55watt eBay kit like I did before without and extra harness or fabrication?

I should think you'd need a Canbus connector at least, to interface nicely with the trucks electronics
