Hello, I hope I'm not too early and jinxing myself, but I am planning to pick up my 1995 Dodge Ram 5.9l truck tonight. Hope to give you all more details and pics once I have it. It's a standard cab, 8 ft. bed, and I believe it's the HD version. It has high mileage and rust issues but for what we are using it for, that's all OK. Meant to be a workhorse for around the house and for those hauling jobs that come up too.

Check the gvwr on the door jam sticker, ld is 7500lb and hd is 8800lb

Thanks BBartow. I did take a pic of that sticker when I looked at it over the weekend, and YES GVWR is 8800. so HD it is!

Well it's mine! It made the long ride home. At 167000 miles, I should have added oil to it before the drive. Ended up running the pressure gage at zero for the last 5 or do miles. It was a nail biter bit the temp gage was staying constant so I kept telling myself "don't shut it off!" And so I ran into my garage when I got home and dumped 2.5 quarts in it while it was still running until the pressure at idle on the gage came back and the oil level light started to flicker off. Then I felt safe to turn it off. Testament to Dodge 360 toughness!

Forgot to say it's a Laramie SLT. That's the top of the line trim level, right? Is there a data plate somewhere for further decoding beyond the door jam sticker?

Here are some initial pics from last night. Not the best quality I know, but I'll get better ones. Interesting to note: The rear suspension: I guess someone added lifting blocks? that's not factory, right? there are blocks between the leaf springs and rear differential housing. When I look at the front suspension, it looks completely stock to me. Also note the exhuast, I know that was a "piece together" job by the previous owner. He said the cat went bad so he hollowed it out and stuck it back in, and then perhaps did some aftermarket tailpipe treatments.

So I looked closer at that VIN sticker, found some more info:

Paint: PGF (Emerald Green Pearl)
Trim: P1F6 (Saddle Tan)

That's about all I can glean from that sticker I guess.
