I'm new to the forum and am here to research ram 1500/2500 gas jobs. I don't know anything about them as both my rams are diesels.

Thanks everyone. I'm looking into a ram 1500/ maybe 2500 with a 5.7l hemi for my girl friend. We are looking to lift it. Just wondering what kind of Mpgs they get, how they handle tires with stock gearing, how the front end holds up.... Not sure if it's worth getting her a diesel

In my 05 2500 with the hemi I can get 13mpg if I take it easy. That's on the overhead display not calculating by hand. I run regular gas and do about 50% highway 50% backroads. It's a 5 speed and stock size tires. Gear ratio is kinda deep if I remember correctly, something like 3.90ish

35s are goin on in two weeks I don't think it'll need any more gear cause it has tons of pep

I wonder if the newer ones are much better. My 2003 can get 16mpg with a mix of city and highway and my 2013 gets 14 mpg with a mix of city highway. Neither truck is geared properly
