Well, I never thought I'd make the move but after owning 3 fords and loving each one more than the next I did it. I traded off the most badass truck I've ever owned and loved for my first Ram. Lots of miles put on and some rust were the decision factors. Definitely different in every way! Bought a 15 Laramie with 10k on it for a dang good price. I do have the get the cab realigned this week so I wasn't to thrilled about that. It's no raptor but I do like it. I just put a level on it, now time for 33x12.5 shoes! We'll see if I stay converted for life!

Welcome aboard! I'd considered a Raptor when I was looking but I couldn't justify the extra 25K over a Ram. I know the Raptor has more off road capabilities and such...and they are great trucks...but I love the Hemi.

Sharp looking truck...why the cab realignment though?

Thanks! I loved my raptor, needless to say you have to pay to play. I put my fair share of miles on her and put a lot of cash into maintenance. Well after I noticed the flush right side and the "off" left side of the cab I looked under the cab to see what the frame looked like along with the frame bolts. I noticed 3 out of the 4 on all 4 corners of the cab were loose. I tightened them up and immediately went to the dealer the next day to drop paperwork off to the finance manager. I mentioned it to him and he said some rams have been known to have the problem if it originally had running boards attached with the frame bolts then taken off....because the bolts that go with the running boards are a bit longer to compensate for the running board mounts. I'll be going in and asking the body shop exactly what the deal is to make sure it doesn't happen again.

Welcome! How is the power of the 5.7 compared to the 6.2?

Well coming from 4:10 gears and the 6.2 and going 3:21 gears with the 5.7 is quite a bit different. I will say that theirs a noticeable difference. I definitely miss that 6.2 roar.

You could always add a whipple, then you’d forget all about the 6.2.

The Laramie looks good! If you can, post a review of your future tires. Im looking at that size too, but cant find many reviews.

I’ll be getting thunderers they are very similar to toyo’s m/t. I have them on my patrol truck (14 f150) and they have the drone but they are as reliable as they come and they are aggressive as hell if that’s what you’re looking for. Remember you’ll sacrifice the ride of the dodge because they’re 10 ply.

Congrats on your Laramie. It might not be a Raptor; yet your Laramie is a pretty nice truck, and yes it's got a HEMI in it.
