Hey fellas, Just got on here and enjoying the wealth of knowledge here.

I have a 2011 Ram which sits 35.75" front and 38.25" rear on the 265/70/17 tires which have OD of 31.61. I feel like she sits a little low compared to other rams even though it is a 4x4? I know the other tires are 275/60/20 which is 32.99 but that is only .7" of an inch difference. Wondering if there is a difference in the suspension between the different models?

Saw someones prior lift stats which where
FR 39.75 - 1.5 = 38.25
RR 40.5 - 1.5 = 39

Assumming he had 35's which are probably 34.6"OD that should be 1.5inches greater then my stats, but are not. Can anyone clarify? Why was his rake much less then mine?

Different trim levels do indeed have different suspension packages.

Welcome to rf...just putting the 20's on makes a visable difference

Also if the other truck had less rake he could have a leveling kit installed

Those measurements looks like mine? At least those are what I posted. If so, that was with 35.5" Trail Grapplers and a 2" level; it was NOT stock.

Gotcha, so if i were to add a lift we'd have different final specs also unless i was to replace my front coils and rear?

Here let me adjust the numbers first off...

FR 39.75 - 2" (level) - 2.5" (tires) = 35.25"
RR 40.5 - 2" (level) - 2.5" (tires) = 36"

Those are approximate thought because I know I started out with a good 2" rake, but they're pretty close to where you're sitting now stock. Our specs would be close, but different trucks may come out as much as +/- .50" with the exact same lift and tires. At least that's the difference I've seen, but it's usually a little less, within .25" or so.

Ah yes they were your specs, thank you fpr clarification. What was your tire size exactly? And im thinking you probably had only a front level judging by your specs

295/65R20 which according to Nitto's website is a 35.5x12.2x20. If you only plan on leveling it, I'd look into the 295/60R20 which is the same width but 34.5" tall and won't look so stuffed.

did you need any spacers to run the 295's?

But I should tell you that 12.2 is the absolute widest tire you will run on a 4x4 without needing spacers. There was only hundredths of an inch between the upper ball joint and the tire tread.

I can't speak for all 295s...I just can tell you about what I had and what I ran with no problems.

Quoted 1200 for install + alignment. I feel like thats pretty high compared to what Ive seen on here.. for 6" procomp lift

That's a little high. I'd ask around more places - including your dealer. If you let them buy the kit they may not charge you as much for labor. I've noticed that when you buy things yourself (because you can get them cheaper usually online) that shops will then rake up their labor prices....which I can understand in a way.

Yes me too, but was quoted 3200-3400 for superlift 6" plus install from that same shop. Which is what lead me to asking for straight labor. Because I see 3rd strike here has the procomp lift for 1650. Ive owned a couple jeeps and did all the lifts myself but i am very unfamiliar with the IFS system, or I'd do this myself.

Get some more opinions man. Even if it means driving a little farther to get to a shop that's cheaper. Seems like they are really proud of their work. Two quotes I got for my PC lift were $2400 (from the dealer) and $2600 from a local shop. (+$100 for alignment). I wouldn't pay for than $3k for this lift honestly.

If you have the knowledge of doing lifts you could probably handle it. I know a guy from another forum that put on a 6" PC lift on his Ram a couple weeks ago and he did almost all of the work by himself in the heat. I could try to get more info from him about it if you want me too.

If you could I'd appreciate that, im sure the rear is a piece of cake, traditional solid axle its the unmounting of the knuckles that i have no info about. Ive looked over instructions online from roughcountry and theyre not very detailled. Had a lot more confidence going into it with my jeep as they have alot of walk throughs on them.
