Im looking to just level my truck and i dont really want to use a spacer but ive herd about the Bilsteins. Im not too firmiliar with them so im not sure witch ones i would need to get for my 2012. I know people say the 5100s but i dont know if there are different part #s for different trucks or not. I havent herd much on them for the 2012s yet.
thanks

If you decide on the Bilsteins there is currently a group buy in process. Please look under the "Group Purchase" thread for more information.
Thanks,
Jay

to level your truck with bilsteins you are looking for the 5100 adjustbles. Sorry I don't have a part #, but the vendor running the group buy can get the correct part # for you.

Thanks for your help. I sent him a pm so hopefully he will know. Does anyone know how they ride compared to stock? Also has anyone had any problems with these like the other leveling kits such as vibrations or anything?

I think you'll be less likely to have problems if you use the Bilsteins, however I have had a Hell Bent Steel leveling kit on for over a year and have had no problem.

honestly you have a much chance of the vibrations with the bilstein's as the spacer leveling kits. Both methods are going to increase the cv angles. I do think you will have an overall better ride with the bilstein method though.

Thanks for the info but that does make me alot more hesitant to do anything. The last thing I want is for Parts to start going bad and they would be no longer covered under warranty due to the leveling kit.

I put the 5100s on my 07 Laramie and it was ok till I needed 4x4 this past snow and the thing shook all over the road. Even after the snow in 2 wheel it would shake a little. I dont know if it was the angle on the axles or what it was I just went and traded it for a twelve and told them to adjust them back down.

For someone wanting an upgrade over stock, the 5100's are a great and economical choice, especially for leveling.

If you feel like dropping extra $$, there is a 7100 series that is a rebuildable style so that if anything goes wrong (sans trashing the whole shock) you can send it in for a rebuild and save some money over buying another shock/set.

I believe if you want reservoir styles (as I'm considering going to - especially on my front end) then I believe the parts are 5165 and 7165. There's some other scattered around, but a Bilstein dealer could lead you more on track than I.
