I just leveled mine two months back its not hard to do yourself the only special tool you may need is a long pry bar at least 3 ft to pop the springs back in, pickle folk to pop the upper ball joint, and a buddy to help. I have yet to get mine aligned the tires are wearing even and I'm holding off untilI get new ones. The shocks however you don't need new ones, however, if will help the ride quality I just installed a set of 2013 ram 2500 shocks in my 1500! They are about two inches longer and gave me ride quality back post level. I was qouted 500 from my dealership and look at it as I did it myself and made 500$ (not really) but it's 500 I can put into my truck. I am planning to upgrade my uca's next month through mevotech. Hope this gave you some insight.
