Had Bilsteins installed @ 2.8 setting for about 3-4 months now and a squeak has developed over bumps of any size or if i am stopped and i roll the steering wheel back and forth. Dealer says it's the bushing in my Lower Control Arm and have ordered a new part under warranty... is this common? I've always read about Upper Control Arm issues.

I had that exact thing happen with my MaxTrac lift/level. Discovered a small tear in the boot that I think probably happened while I was "testing" my new tires and lift off-road. [emoji12] Squeak was first, now a knocking. Out of warranty, so gonna hafta save up for the joint replacement surgeries. [emoji6]

I had some struts replaced at the dealer on a 08 ram I owned. Was under warranty. The only reason I let the idiots touch it. When I got it back. It squeaked like crazy. So I took it back. They said it was a ball joint. They replaced that. Still squeaking. Took it back. Said it was rear shocks. They replaced them. Still squeaks. Finally got tired of it. I had someone move the truck up and down. While I took a squirt bottle of water and sprayed all the moving parts. I found it when I sprayed the spring on the drivers side. They didn't have the spring in the pocket on the strut correctly. It was rubbing . I would look there.

thanks for the suggestion.. I've had my Bilsteins in for about 3-4 months and it just started squeaking randomly without anyone touching it, so not sure about the spring being in the wrong spot... but i'm going to look into everything.

I'm in Canada so not sure how much help you'd be. Thanks though. I'm waiting to hear back from dealer.
