I was wondering if someone could post some pictures of truck with the 2" level vs trucks with the 2.5. I have a 2012 4x4 Black Express quad cab, and I intend to level it, but I cant decide if I want the 2" or the 2.5.

Also, I have read a little bit about the front end changes for 2012... Would the level kits from prior years work on a 2012?

Also, I am new here and I know its customary to post a picture of my truck.

Easiest thing to do us throw a jack under your truck. Measure from the center of the wheel to the lip of the fender, jack it up 2" step back and take a look, jack it up another half inch and take a look

Good looking truck man.. I'm sure a 2" would look good. are you planning on running bigger tires, new rims?

Eventually yes to all. I just bought it in December, and it's my first new vehicle so my payment has gone up substantially. As soon as I get back into a financial rhythm I will hopefully get some wheels and tires. I have already tinted the windows and replaced the muffler with a flowmaster.

Then it's not easier lol
I would skip using the factory jack unless it's an emergency situation
Have you measured what the difference from the center of the wheel to the fender lip is in the front and back? Or are you just stuck on wether it will cause vibrations or not

I did exactly what the post above me stated, the Hell Bent Steel site states the same. Measure from ground to fenderwell on the rear and then on the front. That will tell you how unlevel it is and what you need to make it level. I have an 06 but I only needed a 2" so I stayed with that.

I would go from the center of the wheel rather then the ground I case of tire pressure difference Or some other wierd variable. Gettin the truck on a flat pad helps you stay accurate as well
It would suck to measure 2 5/8" And only actually be 2 1/8" lol

I have 2" HBS and I wish I went with the 2.5" so I'd say 2.5". I have some vibration but its not too bad, Between 20-45 and under moderate to hard acceleration. When I use 4wd the roads are not nice so it just blends in. 2wd its fine
