Hey guys. I've been looking for some answers about this issue I have with my coil spacer. My control arms hit the pocket over bumps/uneven roads. The ride is a little stiffer but bearable as I installed slightly longer shocks. As I plan on getting 35s eventually w/ spindles, I'm torn between getting Mevotechs to see if their design eliminates the contact or spending more and getting Total Chaos uniballs. If I go the route of replacing the UCAs, I want to be able to run them with the spindles when I take the spacers out. Or do I just bite the bullet and get 4" spindles now and run 33s for a while (even thought I imagine they would look small)? Your thoughts/solutions? Thanks guys.

Why not a Maxtrac 4.5 spindle and 3" rear coil lift?

I'm leaning towards that but just want to know if there is a solution to the control arms right now. If not, then I will take it in to get the spindles thrown on soon. I don't know how it would look with a spindle up front and on 33s. I feel like I need 35s for a spindle lift.

I only thought the UCA was an issue for the 4WD only?

What about just their 2.5" spring lift up front?

Won't do anything to help. The issue is that with the spacer/lift, the control arm moves down, the arc path brings it in closer to the spring pocket. If you go under your truck (I will attach a picture) you'll see that anything more than an inch of quick travel will cause it to bang. Looking at the mevotechs, the clearance between the spring pocket and control arm appears to be just a bit narrower. The Total Chaos uniballs are more open in that area of the UCA.

2014Ram5.7,
What did you decide to do? Just curious because I am now wondering the same.

Install stock length shocks and put a small spacer in or install the springs. The longer shocks are allowing the contact
