35s on stock suspension

Hey guys,

Quick question so Ive ordered 35x12.50r20 for my ram, however my bilstiens aren't in yet, can I go ahead and have the tires put on? I realize itll be close if they do fit but itll only be until I can level out my truck. Has anyone else done this?

What what offset are you running? You might be about to get away with some trimming.

I'm thankful that you ordered the bils. I thought this thread was about running 35's and not bothering to level the truck! I was coming into help you off the ledge lol!

I've seen it done on a local truck. Looks awful but they fit. Not sure of any trimming that needs to be done. You'll basically have 0 front wheel well. The tire will take up the whole thing.

What about on stock wheels? I'm in the same situation and its getting hard looking at my 35s lol. I hate waiting for truck parts

Mine only has the stock rims, bils should be here by the end of the week so I can install them Saturday. I just don't get much time off work so I wanted to go ahead and get the tires put on while I could so I don't have to wait another week.

They're going to rub like crazy if you do go ahead and do it. It's definitely not something I would recommend as I'd say you're likely to wreck something that could be avoided if you wait for the leveling kit.
You can't run most 35x12.5's on stock wheels without spacers anyway. So unless you have the spacers to go on too you're SOL.

Mine are 35x12.50 st maxx and I know they'll fit without spacers because I have seen a few with the same setup and enough clearance on the inside. I'll just wait until I get everything in to install. My bilsteins should be here by the weekend. I also ordered 1/4" spacers just in case

Yes the ST Maxx and the Federal Couragia MT's are the smallest 35x12.5's on the market. Both of them measure closer to 34x12 when mounted. The Toyo's and Nitto's are a different story as they measure much wider than advertised.

Yah if the Bils are going to be there this week..just wait man, it'll be way easier for you!

Thanks for the feedback, according to UPS they should get here Wed, hopefully I can get them on before Sat when the tires are supposed to be put on. They've already been sitting there a week cause I work most days. Getting a little anxious as Im sure most anyone can understand.
