If I am going to get a lift kit for my 2017 Ram 1500, Do I still need to get level struts? Or will this lift provide that level within the lift?

Also, will a 6" look ok with 35" tires? I don't want to go to 37" and have to do the regear etc.

Any delmonico red trucks here with this set up? Post pictures :)

I am also thinking about painting my grill to match the truck.

6" lift with 35's is common and looks great. 20" rims would be best. Not sure if you were debating a 4" vs. 6" lift. If it is a debate running through your mind, go 6" so you don't regret it. Going from 6" back down to 4" is cheaper if you change your mind since most good shocks have an adjustment option in the front.

Quality lift kits are going to be a complete package, upgrade shocks if anything.

Grill, I suppose it depends on what the rest of the truck looks like.

To answer your first question, no you don't need bils. Depending on what lift kit you choose, it might level the truck. Most of these trucks have ~3"of factory rake. If you installed a 6" zone kit with 3" springs, you would be sitting level. Or, close to it. Now, if you went with say a 4" superlift, with the 3" coils, you would still end up with about ~2" of rake. That's why guys then add bils to bring the front up a little more to level. Start with YOUR factory measurement ( front fenders vs rear fenders), then determine what you want your final height to be.

Front is at 36.5" and rear is sitting at 39.5"..

OK, 6" seems like where I want.

Guess I better get some AMP power steps!! :)

You can also do a 6" lift with a 5" rear coil, and still add bils up front. This would give you about 7.5-8" of lift. That's the set up I'm running. Fenders are about 44" all around.

I think I'll keep it to a 4" or a 6" lift.

Just would like it like my leveled 2500 - was a pretty good stance.

Just to give you an idea

2014 1500 4x4 Express - stock wheels, no wheel spacers & 295/60r20
4" Superlift with Bils set at 1.4" (only about 5/8" of rake)

Sorry, the sun was not in the best position to see the gap between the fenders and tires. Here's a better pic to see the gap, but the truck is filthy
