I just installed a 4" Superlift w/ Bilsteins on my 2014 1500 and drove it about 1.5 miles to the shop for 35's & alignment. It drove terrible and the front end felt like it was on a cloud. Also, the "Stability Control" indicator came on. I know it being out of alignment will cause it to be rough, but will that make the steering "jump" sideways or make the truck wander? I'm guessing the indicator came on because the wheels were turning at different rates on corners? Any advice will help me sleep better, thanks!

Could just be way out of alignment. I did rough country lift. Wandered a little. But I measured and tried to get it close when I reassembled it. I wouldn't worry.

when i did my 3 inch level, i drove it 1 day without an alignment and needless to say it was brave of me at highway speeds. Get a proper alignment itll work out.

the radical change is now your front tires are on their tip toes from the camber and toe so its less stable and fighting itself.

Of course it will wander and jump around without having the front end alignment done. If nothing is straight or is fighting each other from side to side it's not going to drive very nice.

Stability control may have been kicked on because of this but I'd also double check that all the wheel speed sensors (mainly the front ones) were installed correctly.

Thanks for the replies, I was nervous and racking my brain if something I'd forgotten made it drive that bad. After the alignment & 35's, it drives incredible! Thanks for all the advice on here. Better pics later, raining & temps dropping below freezing.

What are your measurements from the ground to the lip of the fender.

Before the lift, front was 36" & 36.5"
Rear was 38.5" & 39"
With Toyo AT II's & the Bilsteins set at 1.4, the front is 42.5" & 43"
Rear is 43" & 43.5"

So overall it lifted the front about 6" and the rear 4".

Cool! Guess it works. I'm thinking 3/4" spacer in the rear down the road.

I have the Superlift coils, I believe thats the same thing, but I'm thinking adding a spacer since the Bils would allow it.
