I have a 2012 Ram 1500 with a zone 4in lift and when I get new tires I was just gonna get 37s. So with that being said, does anybody know if this can be done or if it's even worth doing?

It can definitely be done but with all the parts that would need to be swapped to turn a 4" lift kit into a true 6" lift kit you'd be better off full removing your 4" kit and selling it privately and then installing a 6" kit.

However if you're just looking to get to 6" even then you can stretch your 4" kit up to 6" no problem. Installing a set of Bilstein 5100's on the front end set at 2.1" will bring you up to 6.1" of front end lift.

What are the wheel specs that you're wanting to run the 37's on?

I used Bilsteins on my 4" BDS kit. My front end actually rose 6.75" from the stock height. But that also includes the 35" bigger tires.

Could a 1" rear spacer also be added to the rear with a 4" lift kit?

The only parts that are different though are the spacers on the coil springs and a few other parts though right? I think most of it is the same. And I currently have stock wheels but I'm trying to get 20x10 with maybe a -something offset. I do already have the bils though.

I have the rcx 4 inch kit. I put bilstiens at 1.4 up front and added 1 1/2 spacer in rear. The front is lifted 5.5 and the rear 4. Only extra parts I had to get was a rear track bar bracket. Because the rcx 4 inch kit doesn't relocate it. Only run 35's on stock 20x9's. But 37's would fit no problem.

Don't you need a 6 inch spindle as well.

Don't think you have too. It's just like running a level on a non lifted truck. As long as your cv angles are ok. Should be fine.

So a 6" lift and bils set at 2.1 will give you roughly 8.1" over stock?

Provided your rear end lift was done with the 3" coils then yes, you can add a 1" spacer on top of them if more lift is desired.

It should be the majority of the lift kit. Crossmember drop brackets, diff drop brackets, steering knuckles, strut spacers, rear springs, rear track bar drop bracket... this is assuming a true 4" lift VS a true 6" lift. I'm not sure what, if any, parts that Zone crosses over between their kits. I could talk to my rep at Zone and look into this for you if you'd like.

So a 6" lift and bils set at 2.1 will give you roughly 8.1" over stock?

No. Although it does seem like that should be the case, that's not how it works. Most 6" kits actually provide 5.5" of lift out of the box. So already we lost a 1/2". On a Zone kit (and others) 5/8" of that lift is from a preload spacer that's installed on the OEM strut. When you use Bilsteins you don't install the preload spacers as the Bilsteins provide the preload for you. So now we're down to 4 7/8" from the strut spacer plus whatever the Bilsteins are set at. So in the case of 2.1" you end up with a total front end lift height of ~ 7.0"

Yeah for sure if you have connections I'd love for you to look into it. I would surely appreciate it.
