So I just joined here and searched a bit. I own a 2011 ram 1500 crew cab I plan on doing a 6 inch rough country lift and want to run 37x13.5 tires. I found a set that come with xd wheels that measure: 17x9 with a -24 offset and a 4.06 back spacing. I have read up on the whole spacer thing but have yet to find a solid answer if these 37's will fit with a 6 inch lift, and if the back spacing and offset is okay. I don't mind the wheels sticking out of the fender I'm actually trying to go for a wider stance. If these fit what size spacers will I need (front and back) and if they won't fit what will fit. Thanks guys

What gears does your truck have? this will play a big factor in the performance of your rig after the lift.

13.50s with -24 mm offset will be close.
Someone should have a definite answer for you soon.
May have to add bilsteins

Probably going to rub. I'd say you'll need the 6" plus Bilsteins at 2.1" and probably still need to do some trimming on the front bumper

Find the actual measurement of the tires somewhere. Especially on that width of tire on the width of rims.

I do suggest bils while you are in there.

My gears I believe are 3.55 gears. I will check later. It is a 4wd. I was trying to look online at the bilstein. But every time they say that there isn't any that will fit my truck. What is a good offset and back spacing to look for then?

I fit 38x13.50s with 6" RCX, 2.1" Bilsteins and a 1.5" body lift on 20x10 -12 5" BS

I'm trying to avoid a body lift. So say I do the 6 inch lift and 5100 bilsteins all around, or do I only need them upfront? What size wheel and back spacing and offset should I be looking for?

RCX up front + Bilsteins up front set to 2.1 + 1" Rear coil spacer to avoid the Cali Lean, the max I would run would be 37x13.50's on the tire, and many of our customers have gone with 20x10 -24MM and been just fine, a few have had to do very minor trimming to avoid minor rub at full lock.

The front Suspension does not handle anything much bigger than a 37" tire very well so I would not go any bigger than that.

As far as the performance hit you will notice with 3.55's it takes a bit longer to get up to speed and will feel kind of slugish, generally if you have 3.55's we do not recommend bigger than 35's unless you plan on doing gears.

If you would like to discuss pricing on parts, and other options feel free to email us at [email protected], PM us or post in our Vendor section here on the boards, or call us toll free at 855-432-FAST we would be more than happy to chat with you and assist you in any way we can.

Thanks
Jeremiah

okay so after reading A LOT of builds and reviews. i want to know if this is possible.
6 inch rough country lift
5100's set to the max 2.8
3 inch pa body lift
and then a 1-2 inch rear spacer.
37x13.5 with a -24 offset.
i know with this i will have to buy longer break hoses but i cant seem to find them online anywhere for that big of a lift.
before i order all these parts i want to make sure this build will work fine with cv angles. i know people have run a 6 inch and 5100's maxed and have no issues so adding a 3 inch pa body lift wont effect the angles at all since the only thing being raised i the body. like i said i want to double and triple check on here that this set up will work, before ordering everything.

There are people that fit 35s on a level with no issues, so I would guess just 2 more inches of tire wouldn't be a problem with 4 more inches of lift. Also, with your wheel question, the offset and backspacing shouldn't be a problem.

I'm also making plans to do a 6" with 37x13.50x20 with a 20x10 wheel and -24offset wheels. But my wheels will be about a 4.5" backspacing. I will also be planning to regear to either 4:10 or 4:56 to recoup some power and performance.

Yes, you'll definitely be good with all that. You could probably go 38s with that. Just make sure to get gap guards with the BL, and be careful about maxing out the bilsteins. I've heard of people having trouble with them maxed out, but no issues at 2.1.

what kind of issue at maxed out? just like the angle of the cv axles? if i go wit 2.1 then i probably wont need rear spacers? or with the lift and bilsteins should i just order a 1 inch rear spacer to be safe?

I have not done a bunch of research for a lift yet because I know it won't come for a few years, so I don't know about the spacers. I know some 6" kits come with a 6" front and 3" rear, or you can do 6" front and 5" rear. Almost like it's keeping the rake in lifting. So with that in mind you may not need a spacer period. But one thing you can do is check the rake you have now by checking the height from ground to bottom of fender on all 4 wheels. Then add together the lift height for front and rear and determine what you're looking for.
As for Bilsteins, I've read of a lot of wobble issues and wear when going to 2.8. I can't remember all the issues and suggestions, but if you do a search for bilstein 2.8 you should be able to find a lot of threads about ride quality.

Alright, I don't know if you have been searching any, but I went back and looked at some old threads about Bilstein 5100s. There are people that have set them at 2.8 with no issues, but others have posted about wobble while driving in 4 wheel drive. Also, other have seen ball joints wearing prematurely when setting at 2.8. But they mention that new control arms will take care of that. I don't know if that means you can run 2.8 with a lift and see no issues, or if they're saying they went with a lift kits and got rid of the bilsteins. Hope some of this helps.
