OK guys, I am doing more research, I have found that Full Throttle makes a 8" suspension lift for the Ram 1500s 4th Gen. So what is better. The FTS 8" lift or a 6" lift setup with blistiens adjusted and a spacer to get 8" of lift?

The 8" should be designed to keep all the driveline angles in check whereas stacking a "leveling kit" on top of a 6" lift you're maxing out the 6" lift driveline specs. If you find pics of guys running 6"+2 you'll see that the cv shafts are right at the max. I think most haven't had any problems but if you're going to spend the money you might as well go with the 8"

Thank you so much guys for the feedback. The pricing comes out to the same, so 8 it is.

rustydagger, what work are you going to do to your transmission? I am trying to get all my ducks in a row on what all work I need to have done. I am not used to the Hemi's, I am used to the diesels.

I think he's just saying he's going to regear so it's not as hard on his transmission.

Well my truck has 21, 000 miles and its at the dealership getting a new/rebuilt transmission. On a completely stock engine. I just plan on regearing mine first to hopefully preserve the tranny for when I get those 35" mickey Thompsons

Im in the same boat as you. I have 3 1/2 years or 60,000 miles. But I am slowly buying my parts so when that day comes I am going straight to the shop. I have my lift being shipped next week, then its onto the rest.

You'll have to do an axle swap in front and machining in the rear to get a new gear set in it.

I want some wide 35's - not so much tall. Without having to worry about rubbing. But If I can get my gears changed out to 4.56 I would have no problem with 38's or even bigger. Probelm is that front carrier on the '12 models

Fts sells it w/of coilovers for 2475. They offer a sweet military discount too. Definitely getting that kit.
