So I'm hopefully (fingers crossed) picking up my new Ram on Saturday. Never too early to plan for the future. Based on what I've read I think I'm good but just would like to hear it from someone else. Plan is...

2.5" leveling kit
18x9 w/0 offset
305/70R18 tires

Does this sound like it'll work ok?

If you are getting a 2013 or newer 4x4 change that 2.5 leveling kit to bilsteins set at 2.8

Other than that it looks good

I have had the Bilsteins before and know they are nice. Considering I fully admit this truck will be a mall queen I don't really see the need for them this go around.

Then you should look into replacing your UCA's also

on 2013 and up they didn't make the UCA as robust and trucks with level spacers are prone to popping the Ball Joints in the UCA's.

so a fix to that is using spacers but replacing the uca with a better aftermarket one like zone or mevotech

dude definitely do the bils. Even if it's just a mall crawler. You'll retain / even increase your ride quality and be a lot better on your angles for your ball joints.

Do you set the Billsteins before install in other words can you change this setting after its installed without taking them back out?

Good call. You'll be glad you did!

You set the height before installing them and can NOT adjust the setting without taking them back out.

So the 2.8 setting is what we need to level the Laramie 1500? Will it need aligning after this?

Yes you need an alignment after leveling a 1500

Picked up my new truck yesterday so let the fun begin! I've found some wheels I really like but they are 17x9 with +12 offset. Do you think I can clear those ok without spacers? Would run a 35x12.5 tire.

Any thoughts on the 17x9 +12 with 35x12.5s? Would really rather tuck the tires that much more than the 18x9 0s, but don't want them to not fit either.
