Hello All,

I'm ordering my 4" or 6" BDS lift in the next day or two. I'm wondering if my truck will still fit in my garage if I get the BDS 6" kit.

Measurements with full tank of fuel and top of the truck is 76". My garage measures out at 83". I would also like to run 20x10 with -12 offset wheels and Toyo 35/12.5R20 R/T tires if possible.

Fenders tallest measurements taken:
Front 37 1/8"
Rear 39 1/2"

Also what brand/length braided brake lines for the front should I order with each of the following lift kits?

Thanks

I have the zone 6/5 kit with bils set @ 2.1 and I clear the weather strip on my 7 ft garage door by a little over half an inch. 2011 CC

Assuming you have 33's and go with a 4" lift it will add around 6" from where you are right now

That is close

How much does the antenna add from the roof lines highest point? On my 2017 Ram wised up and my slim antenna is not the highest point on my roof line.

Thanks for the feed back thus far everyone!

Do you have enough room to enlarge/raise the garage door?

Also keep in mind that the angle of your garage approach can have a big effect on weather or not you fit through the door.
I've got 6" RCX and 35's on a 2012 CC, and by tape measure alone, I should only clear my 7' garage door by just over 1/2". However, there is a depression in my garage floor, where the door comes down, and the slab in front of the garage is about 1" lower than that. This allows the truck to enter with about 2" of clearance between the roof and the door weather strip.

My driveway is at an upward slope but I do not recall if the 2' concrete slap before the poured garage floor is lower or not. I do how ever plan on keeping the rake on the truck with the BDS 6"/5" rear coils.

The 83" measurement is to the center of the weather striping.

I don't fit in my 7' garage with my 2016 Ram 1500 with a Zone 4" / 3" lift, bils at 1.4 and 35" Toyo RTs on...my shark fin antenna on top would hit...like others have said it's almost specific to your garage and how the angles and slab is..

........my shark fin antenna on top would hit.........

I forgot all about the antenna. I bought my truck used, with the lift already on it. I don't have the "shark fin", but my first mod was to swap out the factory radio antenna for a short one. The factory one did not clear the garage door opening, and rubbed on the raised door while pulling in/out.

My 4" lift w/Bils @ .7" on tires that spec out height wize to what most 35's do (34.5") and my truck fit in my garage. IIRC, I measured about 83" of usable height and my shark fin just slides under. Well I had a pic but I guess it's too big to load..........I've posted it before

Set something 7" high on top of your truck, and drive in and out of your garage. If it tips over, you won't fit. All there is to it folks!

BDS 4" or 6" and park in my garage at 83" high

My garage door is 83". I got a 4" BDS with 3" rear coil springs and Bilsteins up front at 1.4". I have 35" tires. I barely squeak under with my shark fin. My fenders are 43.5" in all four corners. Totally level. ec611dc437d07db45ede069d7439d7f0.jpg

Don't take those tires out of the back while parked in the garage, you may never get back out :favorites13:

The opening on my garage is 82 3/4" because of the weatherstripping on the bottom of the door. I've hiked my door limit up with the garage door opener as far as I can go to get that 82 3/4".

My truck gets in with room to spare with the 4" Superlift, no Bilstein 5100's (so I've still got a bit of a rake), & 35's.

I have the puck Navigation antenna instead of the sharkfin....apparently it's a Canadian thing. The puck sits far lower.

You should have no trouble with the 4" lift getting in the garage with 83" of height.

If you've got no sharkfin antenna, I'd hazard to guess you could probably even get in with the 6' lift.

Thanks for all the help thus far everyone :rocking:

I just stacked two cartons of smoke on there sides which came to 7". I then proceeded to drive back and forth a couple times in and out of the garage.

It looks like 7" is right at the bottom of the weather stripping anything higher would most definitely hit the weather stripping. From my math it looks like a BDS 4" is in my near future.

Do you have a shark fin antenna? If so, don't forget to account for that. Also, are you changing tires? Stock tires are 33". If you put 35"s on, your cab raises another 1 inch.
