I am going up with the truck, and am torn between getting the BDS coilover kit and just cranking them up to about 7"-7.5", or getting the spacer kit and just adding the adjustable Bilsteins at 2.1". I will be running the 5" rear coils, and have already ordered a set of 18x9's with 37x12.50x18 tires. My main focus is ride quality on the highway as the only time this truck goes offroad is when I'm driving 15-20mph on the beach once or twice a month.

What have you guys experienced that have run either of these setups on a 4th gen 1500?

I have a 2014 ram with the superlift 6/5 with bils up front. It rides great. Runs straight. I do have a touch of wondering when I go down a hill on the highway and the road comes back up. The suspension loads up. The steering wheel will shift. Wondering if I have a little bump steer going on, but it cleared almost all the way up with another good alignment. Wish I had the bils in the back.

What shop will be doing your lift?

I'm considering a similar set up and I'm in Houston.

I'm installing it myself. If you are looking for a shop in the Houston area to do the install, I would check out Texas Auto Gear in Magnolia.

Thanks Ill check them out.

I too am considering the same lift as you with 37's. I don't think you can crank up the fox 2.5 coilovers to achive 7.5" front lift. You would be better off with spacer kit, then adding the 2" lift FOX 2.0's, ICON coilovers, Bilstein 5100 or even the new 6112's.

I love coilovers and the fox ones that come with that lift are great but......All coilovers ride like crap when cranked up and they reach their maximum extension far to quickly in a droop situation. Maybe a body lift or other avenue?

I decided against the coilovers and ordered the standard 6" kit yesterday. I'm going to install it with a set of Bilstiein struts at 2.1" which should give me the lift I'm looking for. I cant go with a body lift because I have to also install a set of AMP steps for the wife when I do this. I'm not a fan of running boards, so I want them tucked away.
