Default BDS vs. HBS
So, ready to level. At a local shop that is BDS shop, they say spacers and shocks. HBS has sway bar brackets, and end links. If go w 2" from HBS do I need other parts? If BDS I don't? confused same thing. Anyone running 2" on 2500 either brand. HBS says don't even need +2 shocks. Called both. Get different stories.

I have a 2" HBS with pro comp es9000 one of my buddies has a BDS with the BDS hydro shocks. He paid double what I did, had a spacer crack and his shocks freeze when it gets really cold.
You dont have to install new shocks but it will ride much better with them.

No sway bar drop brackets, or end links?

Nope, they cant hurt to install but you can do without them. If you were going 2.5" I would definitly install them

They said was up to me if wanted to run sway bracket and ends, said 2" doesn't need. But BDS don't even offer w their setup. Just was seeing what guys were running, and how different brands were working out.

I like BDS's warranty. No BS, replaced parts if it breaks. But, do NOT get their base model shocks. I have them and hate them. Get the Bilsteins or the Fox's

If you were wanting just a level, all you really need is a good quality spacer and new shocks, TBH.

But comparing brands can get you apples to apples, then apples to oranges.

For some damn nice quality lifts, look into Carli or Thuren. I'd love to have anything from them. My BDS does the truck, but I'm upgrading to long arms in the front.

My friends don't like their BDS shocks with their levels because the freeze
As far as a spacer I wouldn't use anything but HBS
If I had the money I would definitely go with a carli level or step up to a BDS lift
Only another year till I graduate...
