Im gonna get 5100s for the front and run them at 2.8. If i get them for the rear is there an adjustment to raise them or would i need a 1 inch spacer.

Spacer. Rear shocks are separate from the spring unlike the coil overs on the front. You would have to add a spacer in there.

From what I understand Bilstein 5100 rear shocks allow for an additional 1" of travel vs OEM. If you were to run a 1" spacer (or any spacer) in the rear you would need an appropriate extended shock to accommodate the extra lift, otherwise you may bind the spring at full extension. Bilstein 5100 rears get you 1" extra and Icon makes a 1-3" shock off the top of my head but I'm sure there may be other options available.

Yes bills all the way around, on my stock tires it sets at 39 1/4 in the front and 40 1/4 in the rear.

You can run a spacer in the rear UP TO 1.5" with factory rear shocks with no worries .

If your rear shocks are in good shape , less than 65k or so , there's no reason to change them for just a spacer install .

I have the bills up front @ 2.8 " and I've had 1.5" TGC rear spacers installed with my OEM rear shocks for a while now . No issues with the rear shocks .

A link to my TGC spacer install .

Hope this helps !

I'm running the Bils at 2.1 in the front. If I installed Bils in the rear, I need to install a spacer in the rear to compensate for the longer shock? I was under the assumption that I wouldn't need spacers in the rear when installing Bils in the rear.

Just to make sure all of you fellas are on the same sheet of music ......

#1 Bilstien 5100's in the front are the adjustable shocks for going higher for a level .
It's very important to understand that every truck is a bit different!
They all have RAKE aka ass higher than the front ....
Some have 1" some have as much as 3.5" !

So to level with bilsteins 5100s you first need to take measurements of YOUR TRUCK .

The bilsteins 5100 's are a great shock , they are adjustable as follows ....

Lowest setting is stock
#2 is .7" above stock , if you are bad with math that's about 3/4"

#3 is 1.4" above stock

#4 is 2.1" above stock

AND FINALLY

# 5 Is 2.8 " above stock .

The rear bilstiens are NOT ADJUSTABLE! !

They are just a great shock , better than oem IMHO .

Moral of the story is if you are after a level , measure your ( individual ) truck on a level surface and install the bils accordingly ...

Hope this helps !

Edit ☆☆☆☆
Some folks like myself add a rear coil spacer above the rear coils to obtain a bit of rake for looks or functionality . In my case I added spacers to the rear so I didn't sag in the back so much ( creating a nose high situation ) when I'm pulling my boat or hauling item in the bed .
