Well when I switched over to bils I could tell a difference for sure, it's a stiffer ride but I like not bouncing around hitting bumps. When I put the tires on it's a little bit stiffer but not much. You can feel the weight no doubt. I run the tires at 50 psi and am very happy with how it rides.

Yeah. You've convinced me. 2.1 and upsizing. The wife will have to deal with it.

I have seen a few people post on the forum that they have them set at 1.7. Can't remember which thread but it was a month ago

I guess what's the point. I'd hate to do it and step back and realize that I can't even tell I put them on.

So I guess the moral of the story is no one sets Bilsteins at 1.7. lol

That's right.............because you can't

It's actually stock, .7", 1.4", 2.1", or 2.8" if you want to split hairs.

I ran mine @2.1" but knocked them down to .7" when I added the 4" lift.

2.8 is risky for me. I see some guys on here at 2.8 but they look nose high. I don't like that look. I would actually prefer a slight rake so that if I do put weight in the back it still looks ok.

I did 2.1. Stock tire size at tire. Rides great. Love the bigger tires but just couldn't justify the money, gas mileage, loss of power, ride quality, etc.

Stupid me. It was pointed out that you can't do a 1.7. What I meant to say was 1.4. Sorry guys, its been that kind of day.

I hear ya. Originally I was going 2.1 and 275/65/20. Then I found out that size only comes in an E load tire. Way heavier than stock. So I switched gears and thought maybe stock tire size in an a/t tire and 1.4 on the Bills. I just don't know. I love the look of the bigger tire.

The wrangler Kevlar faced tires actually improve gas mileage, my uncle had them on his truck and he got 1.5 mpg more!

Original size or upsized? I'll have to check them out. I was actually looking into falken wildpeak atw3. They seam to get really good reviews and are priced very good. I have time. The bills are going in this weekend. Tires come next.

My uncle got 1.5 better, they are heavy duty but somehow got him better mileage. No idea how, he does have a 3500 Cummins not a normal gas job though

2.1 - stock tires.
Instead of adding a rear spacer, I replaced OEM rear springs.
Did not change rear ride height, just helped to reduce sag, when under a load.

Man that looks good. I'm starting to think that's the best way to go. No added weight, no loss of mpg's. Nice looking ride.

I feel like I just watched Clark Kent walk into a phone booth. Lol. Nice transformation. Truck looks awesome but its still hard for me to picture the 1.4 level because of the 4" lift. Love the white letters on that truck.
