This may be a ******** question but can I use them on a 2WD? I pretty much decided this is what I'm gonna do but when I looked them up on-line it says they're for a 4WD. That sucks balls. If not what else can I do to get level without a leveling kit? Any other type of shocks that'll lift me up 2" that I can put on a 2WD?

I can't see why not. I don't see why the shock mounts would be any different.

Me neither but I don't know why the three sites I looked at would say they're just for 4WD's. Anyone on here with a 2WD using them? I'd much rather spend $160 or so than $500 for basically the same result that I'm looking for.

I was going to post asking this same question, I was about to order 2" spaces from fat bob's when I read some threads about the 5100's, but it appeared they were all on 4wd and the website I went to price them out said they were for 4wd so I'm just really confused on the best way to level the front of my 4th gen 2wd.

Just found out from another site that the bottom shock mounts differ between the 2wd and 4wd.

Well that blows. I just went to a shop by my house and asked the dude if I could use 5100's on my truck and he didn't know. I asked him how much it would be to get a leveling kit installed and he said a 2" leveling kit would be $450 installed, not including the alignment I'd need afterward. Does that sound about right? Anyone know approximately what an alignment would run me?

That sux. I have 1" preload spacers I don't use anymore. They raised my truck right at 2" when I used them.

How do you get 2" of lift out of only 1" spacer? I know...back to the measurements right...but I'm thoroughly confused now.

So your lift didn't come with one but you had them put one in anyway? So you've got the Bilsteins set at 2.8" and a 1" preload spacer?

Ok...just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong by leaving the preload that came with my lift off when I added the Bilsteins...cool. So how tall is your tower spacer? 6" right?

Thanks. I guess I'll be going that route since I don't think the Bilsteins will work. Now I just have to save up longer.

I can sell you my revtech spacers if you want them. It would be a lot cheaper then the 2"s leveling kit. Up to you bro just trying to save you some money.

Sorry dude, I didn't even see this. How hard are they to install and would I still need an alignment after?

No prob bro. i don't know how hard they are to install and yes you will need an alignment after. Anything you do to change the hight you will need an alignment. Here is a pic of them when they were on my truck.

Gotcha. I think I'm gonna wait until I get new wheels and tires and do it all at the same time. Thanks though.
