Hi guys,

I just put the 5100's on the front at 2.1, along with new tires (275/65r20 Cooper ATP). I haven't done the back shocks yet. Cornering at speed feels squishier than stock now. Is this how it's supposed to be? Could it be the tires?

Also, is it a pain in the butt to change the rear shocks if I have a crow's foot wrench?

Thanks

I did front and back at the same time. The ride is way better then it was with the OEM factory shocks. Maybe the tires, check the air pressure in them.

I did all 4 corners on my truck with the front set at 2.1 and I like the ride quality much better than when I had the stock shocks. I would tend to think it might be a tire issue as well if your truck seems to feel unresponsive. I just did my nephew's truck this weekend and the install went pretty quickly it is much easier to install the rear shocks if you remove the inner wheel liner to get access to the top shock mount.

I set my bils @ + 2.8" fronts only , and imo much better than stock.

Did you get a front end alignment?
Maybe check for proper installation of your anti-sway bar and the condition of the anti-sway elastomer spacers , maybe over tightened and squished or too loose?

I have my fronts at 2.8 and the front end feels more planted instead of bouncy. The stock shocks are to absorb as much as possible making the truck bounce a lot instead of returning back to zero

As posted as well, alignment is needed as you may be ridding on the edges of the tires which will make it corner something awful, I know because I had to drive home on them being all toed in.

I will do the rears when I do my lift, and sway bars.

Thanks for the input, guys.

The shop did an alignment when they put the front shocks and tires on. They wouldn't do the back shocks because they claimed that corporate won't let them drop the gas tank. I'll do them myself this weekend.

Again I only have the fronts and it really tightened up the ride on my truck. As for the alignment if you are in spec the only thing left to change if you feel like its loose up front is the tires.

It just feels like it dips into curves more than it used to. I guess I'll get used to it.

Thanks again for your responses.
