Good idea or really bad? Really want to do it but my local 4 wheel parts pretty much said not to. As I don't trust those guys, I would love your opinions

Plenty of guys running them here, I don't think I've seen somebody run them with a fabtech lift but you should be okay, just watch the ball joints on the upper control arms.

Fabtech not popular here? I've been told that if I install them then I'm gonna blow out my cv joints in like a 1000 miles...

Most people, like myself, have BDS or Zone kits here. I know that when you add more lift, especially up front, you have a higher chance of wearing out parts faster but 1000 miles seems ridiculous. What height are you thinking about setting them at?

I was thinking 2.1 with a rear block: I want to fit 37s. That should be enough clearance right?

^x2 You should be fine, may have to trim the liners a little depending on your offset

That's not a big deal.. But it sounds like I might lose the warrenty on my lift if I install bilsteins

How would they know if you installed them? Unless you told them. That's one of the reasons I went with BDS, they have a really great warranty.

Well if something ever went wrong with the lift, then they would find out when they were fixing it

I've never actually seen a part break that come with a kit, so I can't really say much there. I just assumed you could take a picture of the broken part and send it to them with proof of purchase or something and they send you a new one... I also installed my kit myself, so I don't know who or where to take it if I need something replaced.
