cant get upper ball joint to knuckle

Rcx lift cant get the upper ball joint into the top of the knucle anyone with tips I also have bilstiens on 2.8 im sure this doesn't help. Its not even close to going in. I was thinking maybe ratchen straping the upper control arm to the lower control armto try and compress it. Please help!

You have a pic? Trying to remember what all was around it. I didn't have any issues with that.

Now that I add the longer strut space on top of the bilsteins the damn thing wont budge. I know its something easy

Try using a jack under the lower control arm to take on some weight and compress the spring closer to normal ride height?

Try using a spring compressor to compress the coilspring. You will need a heavy duty version on a Ram. You can rent them at Advance Auto, Auto Zone, etc.

Try a combo of jack under the lower arm and ratchet straps. Should be pretty easy. Hell I need to replace a shock and can't get the ball joint out of the upper.

jack should do it, i just did the same thing with the same setup but with a bds lift. I didnt even have to use a jack tho... just had to push the upper down with my hand

Use a jack on the lower until it wont go up any higher, then put as much of your body weight on the upper with one hand while starting the nut with the other. Worked for me.

make sure not to jack up the lower to much incase it lifts your truck off the jacks...

Thanks guys for all the help. Finally got it yesterday had to jump up and down inside the door frame but It worked. Finished it tonight it was rough but doable. Will post pics tomorrow.
