Haven't found much info for this particular generation truck with no lift... Anyone know if a 305/70R17 will fit on a stock truck with a lower offset rim?

Hey all,

It's about that time I do tires and wheels. I read through everything, great thread. I have a '16 1500 Big Horn 5.7 4x4 on 20" chrome clads. Put a 2.5" spacer lift in the front at 2k miles and now at 20k miles. Didn't do any lift in the rear. Looking for some info and opinions on which direction I should go. During summer I beach drive usually once a week as an FYI I know this matters in some cases.

On page 9, "bubbasneed" posted pictures of his Ram that is on 2.1 bils, 20x10 -19 wheels, and 33x12.5x20 tires. I like the look a lot and he said he was happy with it, but I am wondering if I can go with a bit bigger tire without having any issues. (Every inch counts right?) Does the .4" difference in spacer/bils make any difference in clearance? I'm nervous of running 35's because I know some people have fitment issues but I know that is a case by case issue so that is why I decided to ask for some help.

With my truck and my level kit, what am I safest to run with mostly highly miles and some beach miles? 33's, 34's, 35's? And on what size wheel? Ideally I'd like to achieve as much height as possible, poke out from the fenders a little bit to give it a meaner look and stance.

Whatever the sizes are, I'd like a chrome faced wheel with a black lip, and knobbier All Terrain tire that are decent for highway. If anyone has recommendations that won't break the bank please let me know.

Thank you in advance.

To simplify, how can I fit 35s on a '16 Big Horn Quad Cab with a 2.5" body lift comfortably with a -19/-24 offset?

Just a heads up.....If using Zone upper control arms with Bilsteins, Nitto Ridge grapplers 35x12.5x20 will not fit. They will hit the arms. Im not using spacers so Im going to have to drop down to 11.5s......and wait until tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! So close lol.....

I posted this info elsewhere but I doubt anyone has seen it. I have a level front and stock 20’s on a 2010 with 1” spacers. I went with 35x12.5x20 firestone mt/2’s. Rides awesome a small amount of rubbing at full lock but it is purely on my plastic inner fender. Look is a little stuffed but I work out of the truck so reaching over the side is kinda important.

Amazingly smooth and quiet tire. About as loud as my terra grappler g2’s on my jeep. Just got em so I’m sure they will get a little louder but very impressed.

What would you all recommend for a 2017 crew cab 4x4? I would like a slight level while keeping a rake, and will be keeping the stock tires and rims. My truck has a serious rake at the moment, but I’d like to keep the ride as smooth as possible.

Great info on the beginning tutorial pin. One thing I have heard mixed responses on is whether or not I'll need new front coil springs. I.e. if the asjustable 5100 Bilsteins are installed, at 1.6", will that require anything else than just the struts?

9590DBE1-9C86-4DA8-B28A-A3B5C3A3AE0E.png I’m new here and have a question. I’ve got a 2010 1500 quad cab that’s been lowered with a 2/4 drop on 24’s. I’m now wanting to go the other way. I need to know what offset I’ll need to go with in order to get the wheels 3-4 inches past the fender well if I’m using a 22 inch rim. I spoke with someone at a shop and they suggested a Rough Country 6 inch lift and going with a 22x14 with a -76 offset. This is the look I’m trying to achieve. Also would I need to go with a 6 inch lift or would 4 be enough. Can anyone tell just by looking what this truck has?

I have a 2010 QC Bighorn, and am thinking of doing a similar setup with stock 20s. Do you think that the rubbing would still be happening with 33s?

I highly doubt it would rub. Mine doesn’t rub much with 35’s I think If I just zip tie the wheel well plastic liner in a little tighter it will fix that issue.

If you're wanting the look imaged and 3"-4" past the body stance, a 22x12 -44 will get you there. It's up to you, but you cant fit that in on level with 0 trimming. Hell, you can fit that stock height with no trimming.

A 20x12 or in your case or 22x12 wheel with a 305/50/20 / 305/50/22 tire fits a 4th get Ram stock height with no rubbing. Don't be scared

I want to put 20x12 fuel octane deep lip -44 offset with nitto 305/50R20 terra grappler AT on my 2017 ram 1500 leveled at 2.75 inches. My shop says it should be fine, any opinions?

Go to customoffsets.com, they have a gallery of hundreds of trucks with as many tire/wheel combos. They list what mods have been done to clear whatever combo they're running.

I have a 2016 Ram 1500. I have the Bilstein shocks set at 2.1. I'm wondering if I can fit 295 70 18 Cooper St Maxx on 18x9 with a 18 offset on my truck. I do hunt and fish but no serious offroading. Thanks for any help. I have been searching everywhere and have not found any info on this set up.
