It's definitely an ugly weld , but it appears to have enough penetration to be strong ...ugly yes , serviceable most likely .

I still prefer the Mevotech UCAS [emoji106]

Looks like a farm weld. Something I might do with the crappy stick welder using sticks from 20 years ago.

I agree but 35 years ago as a teenager on the farm in Arkansas I could've made that weld look like a perfect roll of dimes with a 6010 rod [emoji6]

Ok I wondered because I have some buddies that can't stand Mevotech due to ball joint separation on their Chevys. I was surprised to see so many on this forum replacing with Mevotech out of all brands. thanks for the info, I wanted to make sure this wasn't a pre existing issue with the stock arms.

It is on a Ram .

Sorry to raise this thread from the dead, but I am having an issue with my 13 Ram 1500 and the 3" leveling kit that I had installed. The upper control arms are resting against the shock towers and knocking hard when I go over even the smallest bump in the road. I installed new shocks with extenders, but it is still the same. Do the Mevotech UCAs that ya'll were talking about fix this issue? Or is there something else that I need to do?

Again, sorry for the making this thread Lazarus...

I may be wrong, but, You’d be better off running Zone UCA’s or JBAs, something that corrects the angles. The Mevotechs are for stock angles, just a way beefier UCA. If you had a lift kit that uses stock angles, Mevotechs would be a good choice on the lower end of the cost scale.
