Alright guys, had my 2.5" motofab leveling spacers installed today and I realize what people mean when they speak of the ball joint/UCA issue. My question is before I shell out $430 for zones, how are people likeing the mevotechs with spacers? Saving $300 sounds pretty great, but I definitely want peace of mind. Also, truck is a 2013 SLT with 60,000 miles. Any answers are greatly appreciated!

Just get the zones and be done with it. You get what you pay for.

^^^hahaha that was easy. But a very good choice. I plan on putting on zone when I raise my bils. To 2.8 and get bigger tires.

Anyone install them yourself? It looks like I can do it, but it seems like things never go that easy for my clumsy self. I'll probably end up in the hospital lol.

Are UCAs necessary when doing a level?

This is probably the 2nd most asked question on this forum. 09-12models in theory shouldn't where 13-17' models do. Height pending of course. Typically anything below a 2.1" level you should be more then fine with stock uca's. Some trucks have issues with stock where others have ball joint failure. What year is your truck? And do you plan to level? If so what height? At the very least you can get a good idea of what you need.

My truck is a 17. I do plan to level it in the future. Either the bilstiens or foxs.

If you go with fox I'd say you would be fine. If you do bils don't go beyond 2.1 unless you do uca's. I'd recommend zone. Mevotech are so debatable if they are worth doing or not. And I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for.

If you go with anything over a 2" spacer you probably should with the year of your truck.

I'll tell you though I didn't keep spacer on my truck for more then a week. Horrible ride.
