Leveing 2014 ram 1500 4x4

Im gonna install mevotech upper control arms. Do i need to change the factory shocks or can i just use a spacer on top of the strut? I know 13-14's have ball joint issues whick is why im installing the mevotech. Do i also need to do anything to the rear? I know people are changing front shocks and using bilstien 5100. I dont go off-roading...its just my daily driver. Please help...lol. Thanks.

This should be in lifted section. However....
You can run a leveling kit spacer, but the bilstein 5100 is a much nicer setup. Set at 2.1" they ride nearly identical to stock. If your truck is close to 60,000miles your OEM struts and shocks should be replaced anyways, so might as well take advantage of that

Id still replace em regardless. Leveling spacers are pretty lame

if you set 5100's at 2.1" then no... however if you decide to set Bils 2.8" forum members will recommend to upgrade UCA's (Zone ones get lot of love on here)

Depending on your budget, if you can spend on beefy UCA's I would.

I just didnt know if i can do the mevotech uca and spacers to level it and still use stock shocks without having issues with the ball joints like the 2014's are know for.

Don't know where you picked up the bad ball joint knowledge of 2014's but it seems to be drilled into your head lol.. Plenty of people, including myself are running Bils at 2.8" with stock UCA's and have no issues
