So paint? Plasti-Dip? Vinyl?

Just for reference can I see that with chrome grill and bumpers and a thin red stripe slightly above the black? Give it that Power Wagon look without being a jerk and putting power wagon on a 1500. LOL

Awesome in snow and ice in Fargo we always have snow and ice from nov to march and they dominate. That size will fit without level. I don't like level because I tow a lot. And I don't care for the driving up hill look with a load. This is my 4th set of these over the years they wear great.

$miley

I'd agree with not leveling it I ever towed anything. But we have a F450 box truck, several 3500 vans, and my brother and dad have 2500 CTD so I don't need to tow. ;)

My brother has the BFG Rugged Trail T/A and they are stone chuckers.

You run into any issues with the LT vs P tires?

That looks really good I have decided to go this route . How does it ride . also whats the measurement from ground to fender . just curious

It rides awesome now that I got my alignment. Before the alignment it sort of felt like it was walking on its tip toes. I got about 39" all around IIRC.

it's a unique look, sort of gives it a pace-car vibe. i say if you're going to choose something from the photoshops above, go with the white grill and either entirely black out the wheels or leave them all chrome. commit one way or the other on the wheels.

I know I'm going against the grain here, but I don't like painted grills or colored lenses. (Most of the time, there are exceptions. But def not on my truck.)

My plan was to get some Bushwacker OEM or Power Wagon fender flares painted white. But now I might leave them black or have them painted to match the bottom if I do that.

Thanks! 17x9 **** Cepek's with Nitto Terra Grappler 285/70/17's. The tire conversion calculator said theyre 33x11.1's

I have 295/70/17's on mine with no leveling kit as of yet. And they don't rub or stick out of the fender wells. I was pretty happy with that!

My plan was to go with the Bilsteins 5100's set to 2.1 and after seeing the pics that is definately the route I am going.

Thanks for this thread. It is great to actually see it on a truck!

Like others have said, it may not be a bad idea to put them up to 2.8 and get the spacer for the rear and after these Nitto's wear out go to a 35 inch tire.

My clearance from top of tire to the wheel well lip is only 2.2 inches of difference though.

So if I set the front to 2.8 and add a .75 rear spacer, I would still have a slight rake.

Not sure if it would even be visible though.

This is a HBS 2.5" level kit, it came very nose down from the factory. I just need to decide on tires now....

Anyone run 305/55R20?
I'm looking at BFG KM2, GY Duratrac and/or maybe General GRABBER 315/50R20 but I'm pretty sure I should throw the 5100's on if I go with GRABBER . After reading this thread maybe I should throw them on anyways.
I'm running 1.5" spacers so that should make up for the 1.18" wider tread pattern of the 305 and or the 1.57" of the 315. The GRABBER is 0.59055 shorter than my stock tire.
Hmm

Edit:killed the spacers went with new wheels. Thanks for the help guys!

yes with the 1.5" wheel spacers you should be able to run a 305/20/20 or even the 315. I would get a 33x12.5x20 instead of 305/55/20 though

I have a 2011 outdoorsman that currently has the rough country 2.5 on leveling kit on it but I am thinking of putting on the 4 in suspension lift but im a littlr worried on whether or not it will make a big difference. Can anyone give me some feedback on what I might b able toexpect

Anyone know why the truck sits nose down?
Read a case study on the effects of aerodynamics on truck tailgates. I know boring but interesting study.
The reason is for aerodynamics. They're trying to make the truck shape like a wedge in the air. The tailgate piles up the air behind the cab to create a false box top.So that it sends the air sailing over the truck. That's why when you open the rear window air rushes in if you have a window open (low pressure area) Leave it open and don't roll a window down the air won't come in until you do.That's why when i see trucks without there tailgate or down I laugh. Because the have killed the aerodynamics of the truck. Leveling shouldn't affect it. Just changes the angle of the deflection.

295/60r20 for a stock fit and safe bet on stock 20s. This keeps your height the same. But 305/55r20 rubbed on the suspension when mounted on stock wheels. It required more clearance with the Goodyear Duratrac. A lot of tires are different. but didn't want to run spacers, even after I bought them. I ended up with KMC XD Thumper. 5" of backspacing with zero offset. Pushed it out 19mm and gave myself plenty of room. No lift, no rubbing and no issues, like you, it's a pavement pounder, I may take to the dunes for some say runs, but that's it. the Duratrac just received a good rating for snow/ice in the Jp Magazine test. I don't need a lift and I don't need it level, the rake doesn't look weird to me, it makes sense. I may get bi stein 5100 for the ride but so far it rides smooth, I don't think these ride half as rough as they do on a 4door Wrangler. Quite smooth and not really loud. 18/32 of tread doesn't hurt either, I've seen them at 50k+ on Wranglers. I rotate every oil change and I think it's key to tire wear, for $20bucks why not reinvest in a $1500 purchase.
